This is a very difficult time to evaluate restaurants and this was no exception. The staff was attentive and friendly. The outdoor seating was quite nice overlooking the golf course. However, the food items were awful. Pulled pork was extremely bland and salad consisted of lettuce, carrots and nothing else. I am sympathetic to worker and supply shortages that handcuffs many establishments. However, I don't think it is a reach to expect seasoning on the meat or adding more contents to salad. If they are not able to provide the food listed on the menu as they are, at least they ought provide heads up or scale back the price.

Love, love, love this place in the last 10 years we have been there maybe 30 times. We started going for their Sunday brunch but since covid they have suspended the brunch. I have never had a bad meal and the only thing I would recommend more is the service. Ken the owner has put together a great staff of young and older personnel. The place is loud for major sporting events but it is very vibrant and has a great following....

I would give zero stars if I could. I sent an email request, called 4 times AND stopped in just to see if I could reserve the patio space for a party. The fist 3 times that I called, the manager was busy and would call back (never happened) or had "just left". I decided to stop in right when they opened to see if the manager would be available to talk to me and he had "just left" again. I had the hostess check their reservation book to see if their patio space were available on a specific day in Mid may. The page was blank. Absolutely NOTHING reserved for that day. When the manager Kenny finally called me back, he told me that the day that I was looking for (a Thursday) was the busiest day and he could not reserve space for a party of 30. He was completely rude and dismissive. I would have liked to have given business to a local restaraunt but he could not be bothered. I guess the money my group would have spent is not good enough for him.

I witnessed an owner treat someone who was going there for over a year like trash. He spent so much money there. The owner cares more about his staff members more than his own business. Seems odd to me especially since I was also a regular there and once I saw him treat that customer that way I just can’t go back

Great little hideaway outside the city of the Chicago. The patio in the summer time is fantastic! I’ll tell you the best food by far is their pizza. Went through most of the menu and the pizza and the turkey club is great! The fries could use some work, but for for $5.99 you can’t really beat that. I wish the nachos were more on to my taste. I’m not a fan of the chips they use but other than that great nachos. Had some of the burgers and they are good enough to order again! Overall the prices are pretty fantastic and really unbeatable when you get the deals!!

I've eaten at Howard Street Inn around six or seven times in total. Honestly, the food is pretty good. Unfortunately, tonight is the last time I will be going back. I lost all confidence in this restaurant after my experience this evening. As I was eating my food, I noticed a dark object moving across the floor. I watched as it "moved" to a nearby table, then crawled underneath it. I called my waitress and another employee over, told them what I saw and pointed to the table where the thing crawled under. My waitress jumped onto a bar stool. The employee began hunting for the crawling object. I watched as he kept his eyes focused on it as it seemingly walked along the wall, this time right past where I was sitting. He grabbed a cup with a top but did not catch it. He said he saw it but didn't know where it went. The waitress stayed on the bar stool for another ten minutes. After all this, everything seemed to sort of fall back to "normal". The restaurant was crowded with many groups of people including women and children all around. I didn't make a scene while there. Now that I'm home, I'm thinking to myself... I started going to restaurants well before turning 20 years old. Taking only the last 30 years of my life, estimating conservatively, I have visited restaurants over the last thirty years over 5,000 times. I have dined in restaurants in multiple countries throughout the world. My 5,000 times dining out estimate is a VERY conservative figure. In all my life, in ALL of the very conservatively estimated 5000 times I have visited restaurants to eat over the past 30 years, I have seen what I saw tonight at Howard Street Inn only two (2) times. I saw a mouse run across the floor in a restaurant back in the early ninety's and again tonight, I saw a mouse walk across the floor in a restaurant, this time at Howard Street Inn. I'm leaving this review primarily because the staff was so causal and nonchalant about the fact that a customer saw a mouse right by his table in their restaurant. I was told they have a golf course, some water and something about a patio, and something else about no way of sealing a door, or doors completely, that they try with some "spray" or whatever, yadda yadda. As the employees were taking, they lost me at the point when I saw a mouse for only the second time in my entire life inside a restaurant crawl across the floor right next to my table where I and lots of other people had been eating. I asked to speak to the manager, an employee asked... Why? LoL, seriously?? I said because I'm having reservations about whether I ever want to come back here and I think I should tell the manager. I was told the manager had left for the night. The staff was nice. They comped my dinner. I'm not saying restaurants don't have mice, some probably do. I am saying however that (1) this was only the second time ever in my life that I definitely saw a mouse inside a restaurant in the area where people were eating and (2) the staff seemed exceedingly nonchalant about it, almost as if it happens all the time, with a distinct twinge of 'o well, nothing we can do about it'. In this topsy turvy world we live in these days, perhaps there are some that would defend as just fine having mice crawling around on the floor of a restaurant they are dining at. Me? That's a line a care not to cross. I will definitely never be going back.

Beautiful patio with live music, incredible service, and safe and clean social distancing (I saw them sanitize tables in between guests and they did an amazing, thorough job)! They have a covered patio with TVs that showed cubs and nhl games, along with a wonderful lighted tent for additional space. Food was great, servers were friendly and phenomenal, and gorgeous views of the golf course and restaurant!
