Food was great. Ordered Sausage, Brisket, Chicken, Coleslaw, BBQ Baked Beans, Cornbread. Chicken was the so good! We would love to give this restaurant five stars but they were out of several food items. We do recommend this restaurant for BBQ lovers! Just get there early or expect some items to be sold out.
A hidden gem. We arrived here on a whim as I made the mistake of leaving the DM metro area around 11 AM heading east on I-80 (without taking into account a couple of very hungry kiddos). The staff was very friendly and the food was equally amazing. Best mistake ever, and the best BBQ I’ve had in years.
Stopped here off of 80, and was really pleasantly surprised! A fun, quirky atmosphere with movie title order names and a good crowd inside, as well as some good food. The brisket was great and we loved the sauces (hot BBQ and Mojo!). Staff was generous and welcoming, I recommend it to all!
2019 5* First time in here. Found it a fun and pleasant experience. Loved the creative names they give each order. Captain America, The Brady Bunch, Jack and Jill, etc. Fun environment. Prices were good and the food was great. We took some home. Good place to visit!
Right off the interstate. Has a drive thru. and some phenomenal BBQ. Make this place a regular stop. (The Mac N Cheese is also awesome).
Stopped for a quick bite on my way out of town and wasn't disappointed. Except for a choice of bread, everything was a la carte, so I ordered 1/3 pound of burnt ends and a 1/4 rack of ribs. The friendly staff will make you feel like a hero when they call out a comic book character when your order is up. The decor is pretty standard fare for a BBQ joint, with a fun combination of farmhouse style along with rock and roll and blues memorabilia. The classic blues music in the background set just the right mood. I didn't have to wait long before I heard "Black Panther", my cue that my food was ready. The burnt ends and ribs were both excellent without any sauce, with just the right blend of smoke and seasoning, but the variety of delicious sauces on the table were just too tempting. Normally for me a taste or two of a mustard based sauce is a nice novelty, but not my go to choice. Moo's Mojo Mustard sauce however kept me coming back to it again and again. My choice of bread, the Texas toast was light and crispy, evenly coated on the top side with seasoned butter. Truly a great meal. Highly recommend.
We are stopped in Newton, Iowa, for the night. Decided to try Moo’s BBQ. It was good. The cornbread and cheesy jalapeño corn were very tasty. Huge portions. Very clean, and super friendly staff.
Pit Master is obviously a Raiders fan - so extra points in our books for that.
On my way driving to California I found this gem of a restaurant a few meters off highway 80. The ribs tasted so good, they were cooked to perfection and spiced up perfectly to allow me to taste the smoky flavor & aroma of the wood that was used to cook them. The potato salad was amazing too, it was the perfect sidekick to the ribs. The place was super clean and the ladies tending the place were really cool people. Also, really fast service, I was really amazed by that too.
