Amazing wings as always. Great place, great food and great people. Over 20 years it's still one of my favorites. Even after moving away from Newton.

It is simply put the greatest bar in the history of mankind. Not only is there no bar even remotely close in terms of its greatness, the possibility that a bar should ever exist as great as Buff's is not mathematically possible.

Some of the best buffalo wings I've ever had. Decent beer list, the Buff's Pale Ale goes well with the wings. Comfortable atmosphere. And lots of TVs.

What's not to love. Great Boston bar that hasn't changed in 25 years. Fun people and great wings!

The wings are as close to Duffs and Anchor Bar as you can get outside of Buffalo. I always ask for extra crispy too! Duffs medium are Buff's hot though. I prefer the honey-hot sauce now as I get older.

03/28/16 -- Buff's Pub in Newton is really well known for their wings and have won awards right and left for them. This is my second visit, wasn't too impressed with my first visit a number of years back, pre-blog. I ordered the Ten Honey Hot Wings ($9.75) in a to-go container since I knew there were going to be leftovers. They were HOT with just a hint of honey. Well sauced and crispy on the outside but they were all on the dry side, especially the flats. I can not understand how they could be ready in less than five minutes unless they are somehow precooked. They also hit me with a 60 cent takeout charge and that doesn't make me happy. They are cash only so be prepared. I know a lot of people are a fan of their wings but I'll pass.

Still the gold standard for classic Buffalo wings in the greater Boston area. They're always crowded but always firing on all cylinders with service that perfectly balances friendly with efficient; somehow, the kitchen always manages to pump out the wings without any crazy delays like at some places. The other balancing act is in the wings themselves: flavor is as important (more, actually) than raw heat, and outer crispness and inner tenderness never trade each other off.

Casual and Comfortable. This place is a very laid back neighborhood bar. A bit small so if you don't like close quarters it may not be for you, but at age 64 YO young found it to be an enjoyable venue more for drinking than fine dining although they do have wings and other pub food that rock!

CASH ONLY: Clean, cozy pub with great personality. Prices are moderate. Every seat has a view of the five large LCD TVs. The boneless wings are juicy, lightly breaded and not greasy ($4.95 Half (3)/ $8.95 Full (6)) The French onion soup is appetizing and not salty ($4.00 crock). Current beers on tap (4Jan11): Buff's Pub Pale Ale, Harpoon I.P.A., Stella Artois, Blue Moon, Sam Adams Winter, Bass, BBC Pale Ale, Guinness, Bud Light, and Shock Top Raspberry Wheat.

Great wings. Cool atmosphere and nice staff. I'm not a fan of spicy things so I didn't try the buffalo wings, but the honey BBQ wings are some of the best I've had.

Great buffalo wings. Nice and hot. You get chunky blue cheese dressing. Not that ranch stuff. I recommend an order of wings with a side of O-rings and an IPA. Yum. Right next to the Crown Plaza.

Buff’s pub is located in Newton, on a small strip of retail space near the onramp to the Mass Pike. We dropped by on a weekday for some owings. Make sure you stop at the ATM before you go, because they are cash only. The place was pretty crowded when we got there, but we were able to grab a seat by the window. I opted for the chicken tender plate ($10.95). They were pretty tasty, although they were drenched in sauce. I can only imagine how messy my meal would have been had I ordered the wings. We also had the chicken wings – looks pretty good right? They won Boston’s Best Wings in 2010 and the Improper Bostonian’s Boston’s Best Wings in 2009. Buff’s is a casual place, and while it is a bar, there were plenty of people there with their families. This place gets packed on the weekend during game time – so plan accordingly. The service was good, they were on top of our order and around when we needed more napkins and more drinks. Where’s your favorite place for wings? Buff’s Pub 317 Washi

Where can you listen to Avril Levine's "Complicated" while eating Boston's best wings and onion rings and the world's best sweet potato fries (served with a killer chipotle ranch)? I didn't think it was even possible for me to have favorite sweet potato fries, but I've found 'em at Buff's Pub. Normally the range of quality is between that frozen bag that almost everywhere uses and the kind made on site, which often come out someone limp. The sweet potato fries at Buff's Pub are actually worth a special trip by themselves. I don't know what kind of magic they perform in the kitchen, but these things are fried so perfectly so as to get an exterior texture I assumed was impossible for sweet potato fries: just the most perfect coat of crunch around the soft sweet goodness inside.

It has been 6 years since I've returned to Buffs pub, and my friend and I STILL rave about our experience. We're just two Canadians that stumbled in to a restaurant across the road from our hotel. I literally am writing this review only because I wanted to Google, and make sure from a very locked down Toronto, that Buff's Pub survived the pandemic. We really look forward to our return! Top tier pub grub without question! One of the only pubs where the drinks are the bonus!

It’s a small sports bar in the heart of Newton Corner known for their wings. We came in for lunch around 11:30 and there were plenty of seats but when we left closer to 12:15 it was starting to get quite busy. I would imagine that for dinner or on a weekend it must get really busy. The wings were really good though! Perfect amount of crisp while maintaining moisture combined with a sauce that left me wanting another order! They don’t let you split sauces so make sure you pick a good one, the Maple Hot was like a hot Buffalo with just a hint of maple and it was amazing! My only critique would be the fries need to be salted more, they were fairly bland but I just dipped them in blue cheese and it worked out. Price wise it was average for the area just bordering on a little high but the quality of the food makes up for it. A 10-piece wing and French fry plate was $16.99 and a Guinness was $7 for reference. Overall, I’ll be back next time I’m craving wings and would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes spicy wings or beer.

Buffs pub is really good. Is it amazing or the best in the country? Probably not, but it’s the best bone in wing place I’ve found near me that scratches that itch for wings. Have gotten most of all the sauces, with the honey hot being my favorite and the Nashville hot one they had my least favorite. Great service every time we’ve been, but can be a wait (small location) that isn’t worth it.

Was staying across the street so going to Buff's was for convenience. We had 2 types of salad and a small 1/4pound burger. The 1st salad was a blackened chicken salad with Dijon mustard. The chicken was very good and a good amount. It was a boneless blackened chicken breast. The greens were fresh and the avocado was nice and ripe. The 2nd salad was a Buffalo Chicken salad. Again, the chicken was a blackened boneless breast with Buffalo sauce on it. They called it a Cobb salad? Anyhow it did have boiled eggs, fresh greens, cherry tomatoes and peppers. It was a good salad. I personally had a small 1/4 pound burger ( the regular burger is 1/2 pound ). I had the burger with onion rings but, I could have had fries or a combo of rings & fries. The burger was charcoal broiled and good. The onion rings were very good. I felt the bun could have been a little fresher. Service was okay. The waitress was nice but, didn't come around really.

Has not changed much in 30 years. The decor is updated but their core value proposition hasn’t changed ….iconic wings, great craft beer and good comfort food all served at reasonable prices and with a smile.
