I can’t praise this venue enough. My engagement party preparation and evening was absolutely perfect. It was ran like a military operation. The organisation was impeccable. Although there are strict guidelines for certain things, I totally get why and on reflection appreciate how they run things even more. It was perfect. I am so grateful for not only the professionalism but also the genuine care… any single little worry or concern I had was catered for immediately and nothing was a problem! The attention to detail was amazing. Even the tiniest thing like making sure me and my partner ate first, we were all ok and enjoying ourselves. Every single staff member was so so genuinely lovely. And ofcourse huge thanks to Martina and Helen. Could not recommend this gorgeous venue enough!

We went to the Lysaght Institute for a graduation ceremony. It was a lovely venue. We had tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits on arrival and a lovely buffet after the ceremony. There was a bar in the room and doors that opened leading onto a large balcony. I think they do other functions such as weddings and corporate events and I wouldn't hesitate to say go and have a look around if you are looking for a venue for an event.

I attended a graduation ceremony last Friday at the Lysaght institute. Beautiful building, extremely well organised. The buffet was excellent and even catered for vegans such as myself. A special word for Kelly who was so kind to make sure I had the vegan options available. Having never been to the Lysaght I have to say that I would definitely recommend it as a venue, cannot fault it !

It was the first time we used the facility for our Graduation. The staff were amazing throughout. From booking through to the graduation day. On the day several times staff approached asking if everything was going to schedule and was there was anything they could assist us with. Thank you and a big Well Done!

We held the Inaugural Newport Chess Congress at the Lysaght Institute. We hope this to be an annual event as the Lysaght Institute is a fantastic venue. The Staff and Managers are stars and responded to our needs efficiently and effectively. We received very positive feedback from chess players at the venue which included a Grandmaster. I cannot recommend the Venue enough!

We have just recently had our wedding here and what can I say the service was out of this world. From the first time we booked it, the running up to the day and finally the wedding , the staff couldn’t do anything more for us. They were always on hand to answer any question and explained everything in great detail. The wedding day was just perfect and the staff took ownership of everything and it’s exactly what we wanted. If you are thinking of booking your wedding I’d definitely take time to visit and see how beautiful the venue is ! Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day so remarkable

We recently got married at the Lysaght after falling in love with the venue and its central location. Although I would have loved to give this venue 5 stars, a few things unfortunately fell short on the day. Firstly the positives. The venue is gorgeous, modern and has plenty of parking as well as indoor and outdoor space. The packages are very reasonably priced for what you get compared to other wedding venues and it’s an added bonus that they are licensed for ceremonies so we were able to have everything in one place! Martina and Helen were very attentive and nothing was too much for them to arrange, including offering up one of the downstairs rooms for my husbands younger brother to use if he got too overwhelmed due to his autism. On the day, Martina kept a close eye to ensure everything ran smoothly, even helping with my dress in the absence of my bridesmaids! She did her best to try and rectify the issues when they arose and is clearly very committed. The decor was amazing and we had lots of comments on how beautifully the venue was dressed. It actually exceeded my expectations and I was really happy with how this turned out. We hired large blossom trees and a light up dance floor which Helen arranged for us which were a really showstopper. The food was also amazing and both us and the guests really enjoyed our meals. The bar is also very reasonably priced compared to other wedding venues and we had the option to have a cocktail maker on the bar and have our own signature cocktail which added a great touch. The selection of drinks available was also a bonus and we also had the option of ordering other drinks in if we wanted. The DJ Mighty Fozzy who was included in our package was also a highlight. He was amazing at judging the room and getting everyone dancing. We had lots of people say how great he was! Unfortunately a few things went wrong on our day, although I completely understand things can happen that are out of the Venues control. Firstly, the venues speaker had issues, meaning that as I walked down the aisle the music started skipping and jittering. This was pretty embarrassing, and a big let down seen as this is a moment I had been dreaming about for years… The second issue was that the room turn around took twice as long as estimated. This meant that our wedding breakfast was so late that it was served quite close to the evening hog roast. Because of this none of our day guests were hungry so a lot of people didn’t get to enjoy this, myself included. There was also a mix up with how the cake was meant to be served meaning that a lot of people got a flavour they didn’t enjoy. As soon as we raised this issue though Martina did her best to fix this and put it right. When we booked the venue just over 2 years ago, there was working air con and this was a major draw for us especially due to it being a summer wedding. On the day the room was boiling, and someone at the venue advised us that the air con had broken a year previous and had never been fixed. Unfortunately coupled with the hot summer wedding this meant that the room was uncomfortably hot. My mother was going to leave early because she felt so unwell in the heat and a lot of our guests chose to sit out in the garden area away from the party as it was cooler, which really dampened the mood at the beginning of the evening. All in all, the venue is stunning and we had a good day. The staff were amazing, but the air con and speaker issues definitely stopped it from getting 5 stars.

Words cannot explain how grateful we are to the Lysaght Institute for making our daughter's Henna ceremony such a memorable evening for us all. Our guests were so impressed by the venue and the Lysaght support team on the night. We will have no hesitation in recommending the Lysaght Institute to our family and friends. I would definitely use the Lysaght Institute again for an event in Newport. The venue is in a good central location, the room we used was lovely, clean and bright and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. This all added to the success of our event.
