Amazing experience at this gem! The food was excellent as was the customer service. In particular, I'd like to give a big shout out to the young woman who served us on 02/07 - she was awesome! (Sorry, I didn't catch your name). We'll definitely visit again.

Cru Cafe was hopping at 10am on a Monday so we came back for a 3pm lunch after kayaking. The food and service were great. We had the Charleston chicken biscuits and gravy ($11.95), Next Level avocado toast with chili sauce ($8.00 - it’s sweet not spicy, FYI), and the Fancy tots ($3.55 for a small). The iced coffees were a little weak but still good. Definitely worth a trip!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I came here with my two children and the workers were so friendly and let my children each choose a dessert since it was our first visit. The menu has a great variety, the service was impeccable, and we got to eat outside in a heated igloo! We will be coming back for sure 👍

Cru cafe has an awesome menu. With little twists to everything. If you see the line it moves quickly and it's worth the wait. If you like lemonade definitely get it. They have great cookies and other pastries. I enjoy the crew chicken sandwich and the Italian stallion sandwich. One of the best hidden spots in Newport. It's a tradition of ours to stop in here. The staff is also very friendly.

One of the best meals I had on my trip this time around. Everything was just splendid - can't say enough about the awesomeness. A must go if you are in the area, especially for brunch.

My friends and I visited Newport for the first time and were given a recommendation from a local to get brunch at Cru. We were blown away by the casual, but professional atmosphere and the extremely friendly service. In addition to meeting some of the nicest people ever, we also had one of the best brunches we can remember! There was something for everyone and perfect execution of every plate. Fab-u-lous!

I am visiting from NC and this place was an absolute wonderful experience. The menu is huge and has anything and everything to choose from. I had the Newport eggs - the crab cakes were the best I have ever had and the greens were fresh and crisp with the perfect dressing. The staff was kind and the chef made the experience very personable. I look forward to returning on my next visit.

Not overpriced like a lot of the restaurants in Newport. Delicious fresh made breakfast/lunch/dinner/dessert options. I had the Casino breakfast sandwich (egg, ham and cheese on a house made biscuit) with sides of maple sausage and potato bacon hash. They were all delicious but the potato bacon hash was AMAZING. Had a cold brew coffee that tasted great too! Friendly staff, quick service and socially responsible during Covid.
My only real critique is the parking situation. You need to pull down a dead end single lane road and compete for a few free customer parking spots. Otherwise you can waste your money and pay a ridiculous $7 an hour (seriously) for the "public" parking purposefully walled off in the gigantic open shopping plaza right next door. Or if you're feeling lucky you can try to sneak past the parking guard calling in tow trucks and park in any of the hundreds of empty spaces in that same plaza reserved for the stores you probably won't care about or want to stop in at lol. This isn't Cru's fault. Just make sure you plan out what you prefer to do for parking ahead of time.
