Excellent stop for seafood! We tried the clam chowder which was unique and hearty. The smoked fish platter was incredible and worth the price. The smoked oysters tasted great with the apples and herbed butter. The fish and chips satisfied all my cravings. I went with the halibut and it was impressive. This place does slaw and fries right.
Very flavorful and creamy clam chowder. The crab cake was very authentic and worth the price. For dessert I had cheesecake, tilamook ice cream, and berry cobbler. They were all really good and worth the wait. Our server was also very kind and helpful. He made sure we had a good time. If you’re looking for a good, memorable seafood restaurant, this is a place to go.
This place was the best restaurant we visited the whole time we were on the Oregon coast! We came across it while walking around Newport and the menu looked enticing so we decided to give it a try. What a great choice!!!
The server was so friendly and everyone there was so accommodating to us bringing our dog to sit on their patio with us!
Besides that THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. My wife and I ordered the manila steamer clams to share as well as the crab cake dish. We were absolutely blown away with how flavorful and well presented the dishes were. I posted the pictures so you could see just what I'm talking about. If you want to know what I'm talking about taste wise you will just have to check it out for yourself next time you are in the area 😉
This place was so good that we ended up stopping by one more time before we left to have lunch because we just couldn't stop thinking about how great this place was! The second time was just as wonderful.

Enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Newport and, of course, had to have some sea food. I've never been to Gino's before, but I had to give it a try. This will be added to my favorite places to eat on the Oregon coast!
First off, the customer service was wonderful, kind, and polite. The whole staff took care of my husband and I, while we got to enjoy our food experience.
Here's something in my opinion that may make it easier for you; if you're wanting to do the clam chowder bread bowl but you're worried it might be too much, I suggest getting a side of garlic toast, sour dough bread, or any other bread that's offered there instead. You could dip your bread in the bowl of chowder and not have to worry about over eating.
Let me tell you about the chowder. Holy moly, most definitely top 5 BEST clam chowder I've ever had. Is it on the thicker side, yes, but I prefer my chowder on the thicker side because, well, it's chowder. Absolutely delicious, full of clams in every bite, and pure buttery goodness. Be sure to add this to any order you have!!
Great place in downtown Newport OR for lunch! The Clam Chowder was chunky and delicious. The Shrimp Ceviche was very flavorful and beautifully presented, but the MUST have is the Crab Cake…WOW! They have a good beer and wine selection and the place is decorated in a casual nautical style indicative of the area with seating inside and out. Graecyn was very attentive. Will be back!
Great find, I had the blackened rockfish and my husband got the fish tacos. Everything was so good. We have a new favorite place to go to when we are in Newport.
The best part of our trip was coming across this gem! They're so good, my wife and I came back the next day for round 2 of their impressive selection and service!
Ivonne was absolutely wonderful and brought a dog bowl of water for our pupper who was able to accompany us, we loved the shaded patio with the heat lamp option. You know it's a great experience when others at tables nearby ask what we ordered so they could say "I'll have what they're having."
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the bathroom was easy to find and the establishment in general was clean and well ran! Glad we followed Ivonne's suggestion of the crab cake entree, the pineapple salsa on top added such a refreshing touch. Prices were so reasonable for the generous portions they give.
Delicious steamed clams both days paired with Gino's excellent clam chowder and a few of the mixed sodas really topped off our visit. Photos don't do the taste justice but take my word, it's so worth every penny spent.
This place is the real deal! Hands down the best seafood we've had yet while here on the coast. The entree's were amazing. My personal favorite was the coconut encrusted prawns. Also, we were all super hungry and each meal was very filling.
Graecyn was our waitress. She was RAD! Extremely attentive, personable and enthusiastic about her position. She made us feel comfortable around every turn!
The food is excellent! I recommend the King Crab Louie and the prawn tacos!!! So good. These chefs here REEEEEEEEEALLLY know what they're doing with delicate seafood. Very quirky and fun atmosphere too! Everywhere you look is a conversation piece... nice patio as well.
I live about 2 hours away... and since going here once, I've been back 4 more times in the last 2 weeks. That's how good it is.

Seriously the BEST food we've had while staying in Newport! Seafood stew was so amazing! Halibut and chips was delightful! Service was amazing as well! This is a must try if your in the area.
Great food and service! Rockfish tacos, chowder and salad w fresh avocado. Highly recommend for an authentic coast experience and fresh food. Also great well marked options for gluten free.
Oysters, chowder and onion rings. All fabulous. Wife had pan seared rockfish and I had crab cakes. Both were excellent. Cool atmosphere next to the docks.

Excellent food & the service was awesome!! Had the coconut shrimp & it was delicious. It came with rice & perfectly cooked veggies!! Mario was the cook & & he did a great job. Also ordered the bacon cheese burger. Cooked perfect. Their onion rings are bomb. Our server was Eric & he is a really cool guy!!
Delicious lunch. I enjoyed the crew share meal. The hand dipped battered fish was yummy and the chip cut fries awesome.

The best seafood dinner I've ever had! Apparently I've never had fresh fish....lol...because it fell apart. The way they prepare it is absolutely delicious. I got the blackened Halibut with shrimp in sauce over fresh vegetables and rice.
Busy Bayfront with little to no parking, except for a spot opening up in front of Gino's. Everything was very well prepared and tasted excellent! It was our good fate today!
Great food! We got the ceviche, clam chowder, rockfish tacos, and a kids meal of cheese, grapes, and crostini bread. Everything was 10/10 amazing.
The service was great. We were able to keep our dog with us while we dined on their patio area and they were happy to accommodate him with a water bowl.
There are labeled gluten feee options if that is important to you, and we appreciated that since one of our kids has celiac disease. It’s a great place to get some delicious seafood
