Review Panera Bread - Newport Beach

The best Panera Bread we've been to. The premises is clean, service top notch, everyone who works there is polite and on it. The gentleman who was cleaning the tables at 12pm on 10/7/2023 was as meticulous as the staff in a Japanese department store - in other words, he sets the bar for excellence.

I had a great experience at Panera Bread. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend Panera to anyone looking for a quick and casual dining experience.

I decided to take my Mom out to lunch today. She suggested Panera Bread being that it is close to her house. She and I have eaten there a few times and it has always been good. Panera was not busy at about 2:00pm on Saturday when we got there. I ordered the Mac & cheese and a cup of French onion soup. My mother ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup and a bagel. My soup was very good with lots of onion and bread with cheese. The Mac & cheese is one of my favorites. Panera's is extremely good. My Mom and had a wonderful lunch sitting enjoying a warm afternoon. Highly recommend

Pretty large location. I usually order online to beat the line. Parking can get crowded during busy times. And people drive way too fast by the entrance and patio. They periodically run low on bananas since the smoothies are quite popular. I try to get the strawberry banana one, but sometimes I have to settle for just strawberry. Oh, the humanity!

Super fast and friendly service. Beautiful location in the shopping complex, clean, and nice seating area. Love the freshness of the food.

Great, it was my first time there, and the staff person gave away a free cookie, he paid for it by himself. Not sure if it was because he figured that I was in the military, or not, but it’s still great that there are nice people out there in the world.

Stopped by here on my way home from Newport. Enjoyed my free sips. Nice clean restaurant friendly staff. Ordered ahead on the app and it was easy to park and go in and pick up my drinks.

After over a year of not frequenting this Panera bread, we decided to try it again today. They’re doing much better since we were here last year and ended up walking out because of their irrational enforcement of mask and rules. As long as they continue to be rational I have no problem shopping here. The food was good and the service was fast. My previous (one star) review from about March 2021): I came in to place a take-out order (since they are not permitting indoor dining at this time), and was wearing a face mask. According to the cashier the way I was wearing it didn’t meet her satisfaction even though it was fully covering my mouth. In addition there was 6 feet of physical separation as well as a plastic guard between us. I requested that the cashier provide the basis of what she was mandating in the form of some written guidelines. Rather than providing that she went to get the manager and he was not able to provide any guidelines either other than a picture on the front of the store. As a result of this arbitrary decisions of how they want to enforce their mask mandate (which I was in compliance with), I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. If, in these trying times, businesses are not wanting to accommodate their customers, there are other businesses who will. I ended up going to a different Panera bread that was much more customer friendly and I made my order there.

My family loves Panera bread and we eat breakfast every Saturday. The reason I am giving it 1 is their lack of professionality to inform us about their Listeria contamination of their cream cheese. My daughter and husband had bagels and cream cheese on Saturday. Throughout the day my daughter had a low appetite and she complained of stomach upset and at night, she threw up once. My husband also had a mild stomach upset. We were wondering what it was. On Sunday morning, we again went to Panera to get a bagel and when we asked for cream cheese, they just told us they don't have any left!!!! Until today I saw the news!!!! I am very disappointed!
