Review Tavern House Kitchen + Bar - Newport Beach

We’ve been going there for a long time. Always they were great from the food to the customer service. The food was soooo good and it was better than other restaurants around. One time before Omar served us and he was the best. Last night our server was Tatiana and she was so sweet and explained everything to us about food. One of my favorite restaurants to go to when it comes to yummy food and having a great night with my family. Highly recommended! Thank you for all your hard work!

Bay view dining at its best ! Visited here while on vacation in area. Great find ! Food was delicious ! We had the calamari appetizer, bbq ribs, scallops, fried chicken, and fish and chips. The scallops and ribs were amazing !! The blueberry mojito was yummy but a bit on the sweet side. The fried chicken and fish and chips were delicious too ! Would def recommend!

Great spot. Great view. Nice cozy restaurant/bar with good pricing and very good food. We went for happy hour martinis, flatbread pizza and Mexican shrimp cocktail. All were perfect. Valet parking…$6 But in all fairness parking in this area is very very limited. Will definitely go back.

My sister and cousin and I were coming from a day at the beach and were looking for a restaurant that had a different selection than what the beachfront venues were offering. Found this place via Google search and was surprised, firstly, that valet was only $6! The overall pricing is compatible with their excellent service and food selection on offer and worth every penny. The atmosphere was cozy, yet high-end in the way that you might expect a members-only club to feel. We had a booth by the window - amazing view of the waterway, sailboats, and sunset! - but we wished we had more overhead light to see our food. It was a bit too dim for our preference. The staff here are impeccable in their service, hands down. From the valet, to the hosts, to Tatiana (our SP), to Nicki (our server), and to Paco (Le Grande Chef), everyone made this place and our experience a wonderful event. Paco even acquiesced to a request my cousin had to separate some ingredients (pepper) from her calamari starter because of her dental surgery. That was very kind of him, since we know it's a bit of faux pas to ask a chef to change their preparation of a dish. The food - the flavors, the textures, the presentation - was AMAZING! We actually cried in wonder when we first tasted one of our other starters (Terrine of Duck Liver Mousse - this alone was worth the trip!), and again for our own individual entrées. I had the French Onion Filet Mignon with glazed/fried Brussels sprouts (read that again) and I cut it with the blunt side of my fork! It was so soft, my cousin, who had recently had her wisdom teeth removed, could just let it melt in her mouth when I let her sample it. She cried too. (We do this crying thing only in extreme happiness - rare with food outings). Other honorable mentions: Buttered scallops with prosciutto chips, creamy polenta, and asparagus; perfectly seasoned, creamy clam chowder; tequila oyster shots; and a dessert of dark chocolate mousse torte with Cointreau (rum) cream! The aftermath of it all was that plates were scraped clean and any leftovers were put in containers with deliberate care. By the way, the Daou Cabernet Sauvignon was surprisingly not as dry as a usual cab, and had the aromatic hints of a merlot. Safe to say I have been gushing (and humble bragging) about this place to everyone I know. Love it and would highly recommend a visit here. 10 ⭐️

Decided to bring my in laws here for a nice lunch in Newport. We decided to have the Brussel sprouts and clam chowder as an appetizer. Definitely recommended. For lunch I had the sea bass plate, it was tasty and the fish was cooked perfectly. The view of the water and the ambiance was perfect. We really enjoyed it and definitely recommend the food and service here.

Always such a great experience when we go to Tavern. The bar is my favorite place to be seated. There are TVs and a beautiful view of the ocean. John is the best bartender! He always makes sure you get the best drinks and experience while being at Tavern. Also, our server Amber was great. She took the time to talk to us about the menu and was an overall great waitress. I love to start with the shrimp and a flatbread for the table. The I got the pear and prosciutto flatbread and it was delicious! For the main course, the beef dip is amazing. Great restaurant for brunch, dinner, or drinks! I highly recommend it!

Wow. It was a well oiled machine from reservation, parking. Seating service and food. Views are unbelievable and most tables can enjoy. Bar looked fun. Owner(?) Chatted us up a bit, that was nice and builds good will. The happy hour menu looked great and we will try it soon. Portions were large. It was 2 meals. What a great place to celebrate an anniversary.

Awsome food, atmosphere, service and more. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the beststeak, seafood and service in town. The outside seating is wonderful. They were so nice to our dogs too. Ask for Sergio he was an awesome waiter. We can't wait to come back.

This restaurant is amazing! We have dined there three times and every time the ambiance, service and food is on point! We love the patio seating. The service all works together as a team and never left unattended. We especially love food from appetizers to dessert! "Must" try the coconut shrimp, Charred Brussel sprouts, French onion Filet Mignon and the Short rib Stroganoff is over the top! We will be back for sure!

I can honestly say this is one of the best dinning experiences I have had in socal. Went to celebrate my birthday and was greeted with great service at the door from the hostess. She was extremely nice and had wonderful energy. The food was great, the drinks were amazing, and the views can not be beat! I will surely be back a couple of more times for business dinners and showing around my clients. Thank you for making my birthday worthwhile!

Great spot. Wonderful food - love the Buddha bowl. Beautiful views from nearly every table. Atmosphere is cozy and there’s a huge bar with great drinks.

A beautiful new restaurant in Newport Beach with great service, ambience, and food. The clam chowder with smoked bacon and the truffle-parmesan fries were delish. The house salad consisted of crisp, fresh mixed greens, accented with sweet pecans and a light, citrusy vinaigrette, and was quite refreshing. My wife and I also shared the cioppino. This dish was also very tasty, athough it was not a traditional cioppino. This version was not really a soup, as the mixed shellfish and fish were, instead, slathered in a thick and savory tomato sauce. It was very flavorful, and it did not last long! Tavern House Kitchen + Bar is a bit on the pricey side, but it is comparable to the other nice restaurants on the water in Newport Beach. We will be back.

We had the pepper crusted seared ahi tuna in a red wine butter sauce and Chilean Sea Bass in a lemon butter sauce they were both equally amazing. Came accompanied by asparagus, green beans and spinach. Our friends had tequila lime shrimp pasta and beef stroganoff wonderful as well. The best thing was the sundae for desert big enough for 4. Candied pecans, Carmel or butterscotch ice cream whip cream deliciousness. The server was such a sweetheart and made the night perfect.

First time there, was highly recommended. I have to say that the food and drinks were good, loved the calamari, but we must have been sitting at our table 10-15 minutes before I finally had to flag down a bus boy for water and to get our waitress. Other than that, great ambience, view. Otherwise would have given a 5

Our family popped in on Saturday night and we were seated right away at the window booth giving us a spectacular view of the harbor. The service was quick and friendly and the food delectable! I had the tacos and the serving was so generous I took,the second one home. The ambiance is perfect and the place is lively.....

When we walked in we were not greeted by the 2 ladies in the front, this is our 3rd time there and the hostess were not very friendly or welcoming. We also made reservations for 4 adults and 2 highchairs somehow they reserved the bench seats for us which made no sense because its hard to eat bending down with 2 little ones. We ended up waiting an additional 30 mins to be seated at an actual dining table. Other then that the view is beautiful and the food is delicious. I would give 4 stars for food and 2 for service, the waitress was ok, no smiles but she did her job.

From up here in NorCal dreaming of getting back to Newport Beach, having a Bloody Mary, and Weekend Brunch... all while looking out over the Harbor. Have eaten here 6 times over the last 3 years and my only question is how could anyone not give 3Thirty3 a perfect 5 star rating! Simply SoCal dining at its best!

Our party of 8 was placed on a small cocktail table (with a great view) for bunch which would have accommodated 4 plates maximum, however they were able to move us to a table which was more conducive to eating brunch.

Not bad but the only thing was when the bus boy cleaned our table, he put the dirty napkin on my plate and took it while i was still working on my plate. Good thing i was in a good mood and tipsy🤷🏽‍♂️

3-Thirty-3 Waterfront Restaurant... A foggy day in Newport Beach, with a friend visiting from Northern California....BUT....where is the view, and most importantly the food, better than anywhere in SoCal? 3-Thirty-3 Waterfront Restaurant. Corner table, patio, Keaton as your server....perfection. Have the "OCtini" and follow it up with the Fish and Chips. Superb! We will be back...fog or shine.

Phenomenal service, great food and drinks, and a beautiful Harbor view made for an amazing Sunday Brunch and experience. Next time we’ll stick around for the live music.

The food was excellent as always but the service was not so good. Waited for drinks and finally came. Have been going there for 3 years but might not visit again.

Best bbq that i ever have ever had everything was great from the drinks to the great staff.....especially the tiki drink

Friends and I came on a Sunday afternoon to listen to a band we follow We had reservations and were seated immediately. The view is spectacular however the service was slow Would return as the place is very inviting
