I had a great experience at this restaurant on a Friday when they had a live band performing 80s music. Great vibe and fun crowd. The food portions are generous and delicious. I love the bacon wrapped shrimp. Juicy and tasty. Order the house made spinach dip if you like a little spice! Staff is friendly and the owners are welcoming! Theres TVs surrounding the restaurant so it would be a good spot to watch a sports game. Plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant.
Great ambience. Feels like a nice cozy locals pub. Live music. However the food is average. The pizza comes on an excessively airy crust, thus forcing the cheese and toppings to the very center. The pretzels are good but the dipping sauces are weird. One dipping sauce is literally spinach artichoke dip. The other dipping sauce is cheese with some weird herb like Tarragon. The bacon wrapped shrimp are good but the sweet sauce drizzled on them clashes with the guacamole they're sitting on. How about instead of guacamole, serve the shrimp with an avocado aioli or something.
This was my first time here.. ambiance is cool.. Service was slow and the waitress was overwhelmed but it was to be expected as it was very crowded.. I like spots like this.. Great band they had tonight.. Thank you Reflexx, I danced and sang all night!!
Good wine suggestion from the nice bartender. We just happened by, stopped in for some air and will definitely be back to try the food!
My new place to watch football and happy hour. Incredible bar staff and manager Mark is a tremendous guy. Great atmosphere, watched my Vikings with some Cowboys, Packers and Raider fans and had a blast. Best sports bar in Newport Beach! James Gordon Stewart

I don't want to insult it by calling it a dive bar, but that's the takeaway you get from it once you walk inside.
However the food was pretty good actually. Bar staff was really, really good. My traveling companion I started off at a different restaurant for apps and drinks, but left because of service was so poor.
This place is right next to the hotel we were staying at, and look to be where most of the activity was going on in the area (2 days of rain on SoCal made Newport a ghost town).
It's funky, it's fun, and the staff is pretty darn good. I'd come here again even if it was just for drinks...
I have been there 5 times since they opened , What I LOVE is the LIVE MUSIC AND DANCING !! There are not to many places that have this casual atmosphere, plenty of tvs for the guys sports . Drinks are avg priced. that's a plus. One area of improvement, is the service. They all are pretty Green, New!! And Look at you tab before you pay , I have found errors!! But, still like the place allot for a music and dancing
No complaints. Went to see The Reflexx play here. As long as they move tables when it's packed to make an actual dance floor, it's great a venue. Can't comment on food quality. Didn't eat.
Located at the former spot of the Sports Cantina, On the Rocks Bar & Grill, a family run business, opened its 3rd location in May 2018 on Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach. Plenty of chairs and tables with a lounge areas to get comfortable. The patio dining side opens a sectional wall that draws in the fresh Pacific breeze. This eatery has a full bar and wide selection of appetizers options that you would expect anywhere. They also serve weekend breakfast, lunch, and dinner with daily and happy hour specials. They are kid friendly with kids menu and a movie room just for them. Plenty of free parking in their lot.
