There is nothing like Mama's when it comes to comfort food! Mama certainly knows best when it comes to dishing up creamy sausage biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon, fried chicken and waffles, and just about anything you can imagine. Their Newport restaurant is in a great waterfront location and offers delicious foods and cocktails they are famous for serving.
Our server was awesome! The food is amazing, and you will be full! The menu is pretty expansive, and a bit overwhelming, but everything is very good.
The food is great. My waitress, Heather, was awesome. They have a dock, so you can drive up in your boat and enjoy some good food. I can only give 4 stars because the dock is unattended. I circled for 10 minutes waiting for a dock attendant, meanwhile several small boats took the spot I was aiming for. I barely managed to solo dock my 28' sailboat in reverse on the upwind side. Avoid this place if you plan to dock and dine!
The food was filling and tasted great. I wish the bottomless mimosas didn't cost $20 on top of our meals... The chicken and waffles killed it and I would come back for the food and definitely reccomend to others. Thank you for brunch!
The service was very good. Amazing views and excellent food. The staff was very helpful since it was our first time at the restaurant. I recommend this place for a clean comfortable atmosphere.
Very good fried chicken. The waffle was crisp but average. The good thing was big portions. The bad thing was the long wait.
The pancakes and waffles are a must!!! Crispy and hearty; served with both classic syrup and gravy.

I was pleasantly surprised by Mama's. It has a classy yet very casual , comfortable feel. The food is very good and they have specials every day. Cocktails were very reasonably priced. The pulled pork nachos we're incredible. I'm not a big pulled pork fan but the flavor on this was amazing. The only downside to the pulled pork nachos is that it's huge. A quarter sheet(it comes in a quarter, half or full sheet, think cookie sheet) could easily feed 6 people if they were having dinner as well. The setting is beautiful, you're on the water. If you'd like a fun casual night out I'd highly recommend Mama's.
