Yes the service is non existent and you have to go to the bar for whatever you need, but they have some of the best Mexican food that I’ve had. The birria tacos are to die for! It’s the perfect amount of greasiness mixed with the dip. I’ve never had a birria taco match the flavour The self serve chips and salsa is an added bonus. Great to snack on while you wait for your food

Fun bar with a great atmosphere. Great to watch a game or grab a bite. You have to go to the bar to order, and there is a serve yourself chip and salsa bar. Drink were good and food was decent. Not super expensive. Would 100% be back.

we stopped here after walking around the pier and taking a walk on the beach! The Baja fish taco was 🔥 10/10 recommend. Same with the smokey queso! My fiance had the spicy chicken sandwich and really enjoyed that!

I was vacationing and we stopped here to eat. It's clearly a Sports Bar because there TVs everywhere. Nice place to have that outside feel without actually being outside. I didn't like ordering at the bar but that was my only complaint. I had a drink called Painkiller and it was good. I also ordered the Birria Quesadillas, and the Hawaiian cheeseburger with fries. It was soooo good!! I wish I would've requested well done ( didn't know I had to🤷🏾‍♀️). Good spot and a ton of options!!!!

I was attracted by the best location of Newport Beach. The decor was amazing, the vibe was great and the food yummy. Not giving 4 star because of the service, you must go to the bar to place your order 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stopped here for lunch while on vacation and we were very impressed! The atmosphere is crowded-sports-bar style, but really fun near the beach. All the different food we had was excellent—tacos, fajitas, burritos, etc.

I'll start off by saying that the staff and service is amazing!! We're in town on business, well, a workation more-or-less and we love Newport Beach. We went to Sharkeez because it just looks cool. Looking deeper online, the food, theme, and overall atmosphere was somewhere we'd love to experience. Starting with the host, Christian, to the manager Eric for accommodating seating as there was a huge party showing up, to Jennifer who was super woman behind the bar, and then there was Gary. Gary literally gave us the shirt off his back. I'm not joking I told him I really liked the Sharkeez shirt he had on and he told us they were out of that color but then literally took it off and threw it over the bar to me. That was cool af of him to do that. I'm all about being genuine and I can tell you that this was a genuine gesture from him and everyone else running the show. We had a great experience. Will definitely be coming back as we expand our business into LA and Newport Beach ⛱️ 🤟😎

My daughter loves this place. The drinks are fair prices and the service is great. We got chips and guacamole and a asada quesadilla. They were good. It is a restaurant during the day and turns into a night club at night

Mango Mahi tacos were great! Add a side of guacamole and a Mango Cart pint! Good prices for a great location and laid back atmosphere.

We stopped in after renting bikes. It has a fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. We liked the complimentary chips and salsa. I did not love the tacos, but we liked the Fajita Salad. Ask for the dressing on the side as it was a bit heavy but great salad. My daughter ordered a burrito that was good. I would recommend it

Come to Sharkeez and see Lauren!!! She is the sweetest most amazing person. She treats every person like a friend with a beautiful smile and makes the most delicious drinks. We love her! Her energy makes Sharkeez fun and inviting.

Great spot to chill in Newport Beach! The service is quick and the atmosphere is authentic. The food is great for the price. It gets very busy during major sport events and evenings, booking a table is recommended even though there is plenty of seating inside and outside.

We ate here one Thursday afternoon and loved it. We sat outside on the patio and hung out for a while. The fish tacos and the shrimp tacos were really good and reasonably priced. Great place to go to hang out with friends or a casual date night.

Incredibly good! I usually go all in with my reviews, but sometimes less is more. We stopped here for lunch on a gloomy, cold, and cloudy day. The place was virtually empty, possibly due to the cold temps and open air seating. The atmosphere was chill, and the service was excellent. Let's talk food! Slamming, banging, and ridiculously good! Not your typical bar food. Mexican fare with a greasy flare. I loved every bite. Delicious!

Solid spot right by the pier. We stopped in after a beach day for a quick bite and cocktail. Jalapeño margarita was great, tacos were just fine. The vibe is pretty raucous. It was all open seating, order at the bar when we went.

Came here on a Saturday and had wings (habanero) with a modelo. Vibes and music were good. Visited again on Thursday, ordered the birria quseadilla which was tasty. Prices are reasonable and you order at the register. They don't have waitor/waitresses per section. Its a different setup but it works. Nice that they are right off the beach too!
