It's a cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The staff was very nice and friendly. Even the bread was delicious. Eating it with their homemade sauce was fantastic. The food was perfect.
The over all experience was great! The servers and the manager are very attentive! Came by multiple times to our table to see if we need anything if the meal was good. The food was delicious definitely made to order! The seafood was fresh and clean! The only thing we didn't like was the mixed drinks

Our meal was perfect. Our server Miguel was very helpful and attentive. We had the lasagna, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's so juicy and tender. The fried calamari was also very delicious. We paired our meal with a Chianti which exceeded our expectations. 15/10.
This is a great little restaurant that is worth going out of your way to eat at. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. Comfortable atmosphere and nice decor. Fun to people-watch as people stroll by on Marine Ave. Food is excellent. I had an 8 inch sausage pizza, house salad, garlic bread, and
We’ve been visiting Balboa Island for years and have always wanted to try Ciao. We finally decided to go for lunch and we’re so glad we did! Food and service were excellent. We ordered the penne alla vodka with chicken, lobster ravioli with tiger shrimp and an 8’ pepperoni pizza. Everything was deli
This place was so good! We had just got off a boat ride and came down to walk around and get lunch. We walked up and down a few times and ended up here. Best decision we could have made! Mozzarella sticks were amazing. The raspberry salad was to die for and my husband loved his jambalaya pasta. Don'
Excellent pasta. The vodka sauce is on par with the pink sauce of Mama D's. I highly recommend you get the gnocchi with vodka sauce, add sausage. The gnocchi is home made, light and fluffy. The sausage is nicely thinly sliced and flavorful. The meatball is not that great. By default they provide a g
Excellent service! Friendly staff! Delicious food! Who could ask for anything more? The spaghetti 🍝 was so delicious! We had two pasta dishes. Both were absolutely delicious. Our server Jorge was quick to respond and on top. The Fettuccine Alfredo was incredible.
Lasagne witha salad and a calamari appetizer it was delicious.
This is a quaint little place in the heart of Balboa island. Amongst the hustle and bustle of tourists, it's like a quiet spot. I went in for late night on a Saturday night just before closing. I had driven Uber from San Diego up to Orange county and just needed a bite to eat. The lady that greeted
Delicious Linguine Vongole (linguine with clams) and Pizza Margherita. Reasonable prices, good service and nice atmosphere.
The food is fantastic. We especially enjoyed the make your own pasta specials. But what really stood out was their service and courtesy. We asked for a table outside but got too hot. Ciao accommodated our request to move inside to help us escape the sun. Thank you!!
Linguine with clam sauce worth trying. Kids meal large portion and delicious. Good garlic bread, not amazing. Lowest prices of the Italian restaurants in this area. Wine and beer bar is small, seats 4. Good house merlot.
