Simply a 10/10. No words really to describe. A must visit if you're in the area. It's simply one of the finest establishments I have ever been to. Sometimes a bit difficult to get into, but if you are fortunate enough, you will NOT be disappointed. Simply amazing.

10/10 Nobu experience. Food was great as always. Staff was more than friendly. Our server paced out the menu so we could enjoy and chat. Definite recommend getting anything with crab.

Nobu Newport offers a great ambiance, complemented by drinks like the unique lychee martini with tequila and Mia Margarita.Its definitely more chill than its Malibu counterpart, it's an excellent spot to savor the food rather than just the name. Must-try dishes include the classic Yellowtail Jalapeño, the amazing crispy rice tuna, and perfectly crafted tuna tacos. The albacore and salmon nigiri showcase freshness, and the night concludes with a surprisingly delightful shaved ice. With pretty views of Newport Bay, it's a definite recommendation for those in the area.

Had a reservation at 5 but realized they have happy hour also at 5 so we sat in the lounge and had a fantastic time. The service was amazing, everyone was extremely kind! Lots of must trys on the happy hour menu

Such a great experience, I will be going to the Melbourne sister store for sure. Thank you for making our lunch so special. We had at least 10 items from the menu and all were amazing.

Honestly this place is amazing. The food, service, and atmosphere is top tier. The waiters and waitresses go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the “nobu” experience. It is a pricey restaurant so definitely a special occasion type of place def Recommend!

Every bite was 10/10 delicious. Some of the best sashimi and nagiri I’ve ever had. And the wagyu sliders are pricey, but worth it. The yellowtail jalapeño alone is reason enough to go here.

We spend the night at Nobu because a special occasion. The service was great we had the Nobu tasting menu and everything was so fresh, a delightful, the presentation of the dishes was just so divine, The elegant atmosphere, all the experience was absolutely exquisite. 🤌🏻*chef’s kiss* Definitely coming back, totally worth it.

I came here for an event last weekend and I was beyond impressed with the food AND service! After reading some negative reviews about the waitstaff and service, I was preparing myself for the worst BUT I was pleasantly surprised about how attentive, courteous, and GENUINELY FRIENDLY they were. Huge emphasis on genuinely friendly since I know they weren't faking it for the tips since I was there as a vendor working the event. I interacted with 5 waitstaff and 1 bartender and they were all great! But two stood out to me as being exceptionally wonderful - SHIGGY (hopefully I'm spelling that correctly) and CHRISTINA (in case there are others with the same name, she had a blonde pony tale). Great customer service, always had a smile on their face even during stressful times and checked up on me and my team often if we needed anything. We ended up ordering some food from Shiggy to eat during downtime. All his recommendations were spot on and we couldn't be happier with what we ordered. Must Try List: -Black Cod with Miso -Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna (if you like something crunchy) Be sure to poor the unagi sauce on top if you get it to-go Treat yourselves out to an evening at Nobu. Ask for Shiggy or Christina and you'll get that first-class service guaranteed!

Great experience overall and loved everything about it. Seated on the 2nd level outside, the views of Newport canal and harbor are lovely, especially during sunset. There are heaters outside so it’s still very warm. Mostly everything is “shareable” so you and one other person, or multiple can share and try dishes for together. Service was exceptional and our waiter, Chris, was very knowledgeable on all the food items and made the night much better for our first dining experience there. If you can afford the higher price point, this is the spot to go to for sushi, views, vibes and elegance.

one of the best restaurants i have yet to try! we started off with the lychee martinis but we subbed the vodka for don julio reposado. then we ordered the shishido peppers, the spicy edamame, the yellowtail jalapeño, and the crispy rice—all 10/10. then we ordered the black cod and the wagyu, both to die for. the wagyu melted in my mouth and i can still taste it to this day. the dish that most stood out was the tuna and salmon nigiri. it’s a basic food but the fish was so buttery and soft we kept ordering rounds of nigiri.

Always an awesome experience. The miso cod is a staple. I tried the Chilean sea bass and loved it! Great atmosphere and vibes.

Excellent service, amazing food, professional and courteous staff, spotless. Great variety. Every dish we orders was delicious. Well done Nobu team. I definitely recommend it.

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner and once again, the food was absolutely delicious. The sashimi selection was a standout, with the yellowtail sashimi being a particular highlight. The grilled corn starters were also a tasty and unique addition to the meal. As usual, the service was top-notch - our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, making for a seamless dining experience. However, I couldn't help but feel that the restaurant was better suited for lunch or brunch when the sun is out to enjoy the beautiful views and outdoor space. While the ambience was still nice for dinner, I felt that it didn't quite match the experience of dining during the daytime.

Daniel our waiter was amazing, he moved the space heaters and even provided a blanket for my mother. We dined in to celebrate her birthday, got a few items and they were very good. I definitely recommend the Maine lobster! Only reason it gets 4 stars is cause the pricing doesn’t truly match the taste of the dishes, the quality is great but it wasn’t memorable. Overall, it was solid!
