Review Zov's - Newport Coast - Newport Beach

Every dish was delicious. We got the pistachio crusted seabass, angel hair with shrimp, short rib pappardelle, kebob, spiced pab burger, and vanilla banana bread pudding. Price is worth the portion. Service is fast and friendly. There's live music outside but you can't hear it from the inside. I'd definitely come back again.

If the famous chef’s adage that we eat with our eyes first is true, we feasted as others entrees passed by. The dishes were colorful and beautifully assembled. We enjoyed a small lunch sharing humus and meat platter. With the exception of the pita, everything was fresh and delicious (the pita was meh, recommend ordering cucumber instead). The restaurant has a nice bar with tv and great patio. We were able to get right in without a wait. The staff was attentive and friendly.

We had the happy hour kabobs, tostadas, sliders, lentil soup, Caesars salad, fries and spicy pineapple margarita. Everything was delicious. The only recommendation was the sliders were very plain and needed more flavors.

It was a pleasant atmosphere and we had such a warm greeting! Then the food came and my tastebuds exploded!!! The food was outstanding and the flavors were exceptional. The food was beautiful!I will put this down as one of the best places to eat when I come back. Loved this place!

The salads are so good there. Staff is so kind. We had a party of 20 and we had to break up the seating. Overall we went away happy

Zov's is a fantastic "local's" place to go. The staff and management is amazing and always make you feel welcome. The food is always Amazing. Can't go wrong with any choice of food here; from appetizers to desserts! If you want a special cocktail made, just ask! Highly Recommend as I've been going for over 10 Years.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Newport Beach area. Love the flavors and atmosphere. Easy location to access, with a huge parking lot.

I liked it. Can't say I was wowed. The Brussel sprouts dish was really good and so was the warm chocolate cake.

The food was delish and seemed healthy to boot, service was attentive, and it’s a cute place at decent prices considering it’s Newport coast. Plus plenty of parking, convenient and easy to get to.

We shared an order of brussel sprouts/bacon and noodles with chicken and sausage. Both were very good. My wife said the pomegranate martini was one of the best she's had. Service was very good. The only negative was that it was overpriced but I'm sure that was due to being in Newport (you have to pay the rent).

Shadia was absolutely lovely. My husband said it was the best French dip he's ever had, and the chicken sandwich was yummy.

Food was very good. The hummus appetizer was great. Angel hair pasta with chicken, short rib pappardelle were both very good. Best deal was price fixed sea bass meal at $35. The yogurt dessert was not good however. Wine prices seem excessive. Our server, Devon, was exceptional. He can really motor. Still my favorite Newport Coast restaurant.

This is a great place! The food was tasty and the server was nice and helpful. I went with friends on a Saturday for lunch and they had plenty of seating. I ordered the combo kabob plate and the sample platter for the table. It’s a really good casual place with excellent food. It was my second time and I’ll definitely be returning.

Offers ample indoor and outdoor sitting as well as contactless menu. Ordered their Pistachio Roasted Seabass (quinoa cake, shaved Brussels sprouts, lentil vinaigrette) and Kebob Two Ways (angus beef tenderloin, marinated grilled chicken breast, jasmine rice pilaf, tomato cucumber salad, yogurt mint sauce). The pistachio Seabass was good but the quinoa cake was just a bit too burned for me. The kebab on the other hand had the beef a bit too chewy, again these are just personal preference, otherwise all is fine. Oh, another quick note was that there was a hungry fly that drove me crazy flying around 😓. Free WiFi available.

Got to Zov's 20 minutes before closing. We were enthusiastically welcomed. Food is really good. Service was prompt and friendly. Got the Angel Hair Pasta with tomatoes, garlic, feta, pine nuts, etc... YUM! The General Manager stopped by our table and we had a nice conversation about the food. We will definitely go again next time we are in the area!

Cooking at home every night is not a reality for many families like myself. I find myself driving my kids all around town to their after-school sports and activities. If I happen to forget to put something in the slow cooker before leaving for the day, then we usually get stuck having to order dinner out. With my son having severe food allergies, we are very limited on the places that we can grab a quick meal. When I found out that Zov’s was offering gourmet food to-go, I couldn’t wait to order it for my family. I ordered dinner to be picked-up the evening that I was returning home from a business trip. Ordering was simple, and pick-up was a breeze. When I came in the door from the airport with a bag full of freshly cooked food, my family was ecstatic. I didn’t have to worry about dragging the kids to a restaurant or spending the night in the kitchen cooking. I was able to sit down and spend intimate time with my family after being gone for a couple of days. The meal (dinner for 4) was large enough for my family of five to eat, and we had enough leftovers for a second dinner the following night. The chicken was tender, juicy and paired wonderfully with a side of mashed potatoes and salad. Glorious!. I'm so surprised to see a negative post about Zov's. I have been going there for a couple years and just love it. Granted some servers are better than others, but the food is always very good.

Great breakfast. Great place to meet for Sunday brunch. I love the creme brulee oatmeal and they also have delicious waffles. We have been here a couple of times now for their weekend brunch (love their creme brulee oatmeal and the fritata), I have also been their once for happy hour but today I went here for lunch for the first time. We both tried their prix fixe menu - I had the angel hair pasta and Caesar salad - My friend had the burger, you get two items for only $12. The place is beatiful, the music matches nicely and unlike the last post, I liked my server - I wonder if she was the same one, she was a bit sarcastic, but I liked that.<br/><br/>Next time I think I will save room for dessert, the table next to us got this chocolate bomb that looks delicious.
