The BEST Lobster rolls I’ve had in California!! Big chunks of lobster meat in the rolls. No filler! Splurge and go for the 6 ounce roll. I also ordered the Jalapeño Bomb; a pepper split open, stuffed with tuna and crab, then deep fried. They also have a happy hour and free parking for their guests. The woman that greeted us was super nice and friendly. The food + her welcoming vibes makes this place my favorite local lobster roll spot!

So this place is so hidden I go by this place all the time if a friend didn’t tell about it would never knew it was there now let’s get to the food. I ordered the lobster roll with Kasian fries. Food was pretty good. Fries loves the bun really good I don’t know actually what they could’ve done better I’m giving an 8.5 closer to nine out of 10 roll I just know that when I’ve had a roll before at oyster Broad Street I gave it a 10 but it didn’t have the same perfect score like the other place now environment it’s Ok. Will I go back to this place most likely

The famous local seafood store. The managers are really welcome as they are short in steak because of the incoming events so we could do a substitute for scallops and shrimp. Shrimp are in large size and be sure to be grand enough. Scallops are baked at a good temperature as the cover is crispy enough. The lobster Mac and cheese I had to say the lobster is a little bit small but the cheese is in a great amount. Might recommend eating with some lemon sauce.

Came here hungry after swimming at the back bay. Got the lobster roll and a couple orders of fish and chips. Fries were perfectly crisp and the fish was juicy whole. Lobster roll had huge chunks of fresh lobster. Enjoyed dinner here and interested in trying other offerings on the menu.

I just ate here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The food was perfect, I got fish & chips with the side of coleslaw. The employees were kind, and friendly. I really recommend this place to eat.

After an afternoon on the beach we were hankering for some fresh fish and chips. The service was fast (even though we were addressed by three different names while being served, it was funny!). The food was incredible. Seasoned fries, crispy fresh fish and amazing cole slaw

Great experience for affordable seafood in Newport! Had the grilled red snapper with mixed veggies + quinoa as I was looking for something healthy. Fish n chips was great Halibut so we both enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. Restaurant was maybe slower than normal given expected reaction to tropical storm to hit the next day.

Special poke bowl was great! Lobster roll was definitely worth it! Plenty of lobster on the 4oz portion. Fish and and chips with halibut was very fresh and perfectly done. One of the few places that have parking in the peninsula to lol. definite mom and pop feel that us small and cozy. And finally, a fish place that DOES NOT smell like old fish! can’t wait to come back and explore the peninsula more and go to the beach (.5 miles away. Great customer service and understanding.

Seriously some of the best oysters I've ever had!!! They were delicious! I was hesitant at first cause you just walk up and order but wow this place is sooo good! The lobster fries were delicious so much lobster and the flavor was great. I can't wait to come back and try more things. Oh and the service was soo good everyone was so nice, helpful, and always made sure we were good 👍 highly recommended this place!!

This is one of the best spots we discovered so far in Newport Beach. The employees are very friendly, including the lady at the cashier and the waiter. Both came to our table a couple of times to ask if everything was alright. All of the dishes were delicious. Their clam chowder is very flavorful, the cioppino was very good. The oysters and the scallops were very fresh as well, and the draft beer was good. The food is cooked very quickly. We really enjoyed our experience here. Definitely will be back again.

My first time here from out of town, and it wasn't a bad overall experience at all. The prices are ok, the food was good, the mac and cheese was a little small and on the dry side and not as cheesy as you think mac n cheese would be. The fried shrimp tacos were flavorful and plenty shrimp inside the taco. I also had their steamed veggies and it was really good.

Overall the food was great BUT Way TOO salty. The lobster roll had so much lobster, the brioche was buttery and delicious.

This place is so good I don't know how to describe it. I didn't like seafood especially crabs and shrimps. Lobster is anther thing I never thought I would try. (But wife and daughter love these things so I give it a try today.) And amazingly, this small joint with a small parking lot, fresh lobster. We ate everything that we ordered. Lobster Mac n Cheese, Lobster fries, Surf and Turf Salmon and Steak, Clam chowder, And fresh draft beer! Note: typically the surf and turf's steak would be so-so, but today the steak was tender, juicy, and tasty. We approve this lobster, fish, and steak meal and will definitely come again!

My fiancé and I are on vacation with our four kids (16, 15, 14, & 8). It’s really hard to find a restaurant where everyone is extremely happy with their food, but Hook & Anchor knocked it out of the park!
The staff were all very patient and helpful while the 6 of us were trying to figure out what we wanted. We never once felt rushed or like we were inconveniencing them.
We ordered lobster fries, clam chowder, two mahi mahi tacos, two crusty crab burgers, lobster mac & cheese, and fish and chips. Everything was mouthwateringly delicious!!! We all thoroughly enjoyed our food! My 15-year-old, who doesn’t like seafood, devoured her crusty crab burger. We all walked out of there happy and stuffed.
We are here on vacation from Utah, but if we lived in the area, we’d 100% frequent this little restaurant. I’ll be thinking about those loaded fries for a while!

I was looking for a delicious lobster roll, and this was the right place. I've had cold lobster rolls before, but I ate warm lobster rolls here for the first time. Unlike cold lobster, warm lobster is softer texture and melts in my mouth. The cajun sizzling fries that came with the lobster roll were crispy and went well with the extra sauce. The ambience of the store was comfortable and the staff were friendly. There is a small parking lot next to the store. There is also a large paid parking lot behind it.

Best Po Boy I've had and I've eaten them across Louisiana and Mississippi. The softshell crab was great but they dressed that sandwich perfectly. The best dressed Po Boy ever!
The oysters were fresh, perfect really.
