This is such a fun place to grab a treat with friends. I got the cinnamon dipped banana, and it was okay. If I were to go back I would get chocolate, or add on some more toppings. My friend got icecream and she thought it was super good. Grab a treat and walk the shops

Excellent Balboa bars and frozen bananas! Definitely a favorite when on Balboa Island now. Friendly and helpful staff and seating out front. We enjoyed our bars while walking around the island. Makes for a special visit anytime! Absolutely recommend

I wish they had a place near where I live. The Balboa bar is the best! Nice big thick chunk of vanilla ice cream dipped in yummy chocolate then topping of your choice, I opted chopped roasted almonds. So dang good. You can pick a frozen banana too and size, the large is so big! Do it, go there!

This is a landmark… we’ve been coming here for years!!! 28 to be exact!!! The absolute freshest bakery you will ever encounter. Spotless!! The hippo cookies are legendary!!! People and places come and go but I’m so thankful that this place is here to stay!!! It just takes me back when things were simple.

They say there is always money in the banana stand, and you know what else is there? Delicious frozen bananas! This place will not disappoint if looking for an authentic Balboa delicacy. Very fast service and room to sit outside and enjoy while people watching. Lots of options for toppings also. Highly recommend!

My favourite spot was closed for whatever reason so I came here instead.Had the vanilla cone and chocolate covered banana with chocolate sprinkles. The staff is super friendly. I like that you can buy lottery here + they have thrift ice cream so there's that.

We are here mid October and so happy that they have more than cold treats. Though I have had their frozen bananas and balboa bars, and they're amazing too! We got cookies, donuts, and ice cream today!
