LOVE the jalapeño cheese and ham croissant, it is huge
This was such a hit for breakfast! So filling before you head to the beach.
My husband got the Caesar and loved the red onions and all in it! My daughter got a plain bagel with cream cheese and for myself I got 3 Belgian waffles. 2 was PLENTY. The waffles were warm and so so FRESH! The drive thru was efficient and because I have a toddler we did use the restroom. It was very clean inside too!

It's honestly overhyped for sure but I'll still go just because it's now a landmark thing to do I guess.
I can't really figure out what makes it so popular with lines stretching all the way out but good for them. You'll probably encounter a bunch of rowdy college kids waiting in line but hey that's the vibe
The price? Most of the items are indeed quite cheap but so are a lot of other donut places too.
The taste? It was satisfying and comforting as well but again, donuts and late night food always hit the spot.

Seaside Donut is a small, nondescript donut shop on the Newport Beach boardwalk with big taste and a wide variety to choose from. It's open 24 hours a day so go when you like; they'll be open. The shop is incredibly small with limited seating however they have a wide variety of donuts to choose from. Most donuts are $2 - $3 or so. We picked the apple fritter and cronut. Both were delicious. The apple fritter had large chunks of apple and generous amounts of cinnamon. It was absolutely delicious and soft on the inside. The cronut was amazing too. I never had heard of this type of donut before (it's a donut and croissant combined) and it was fabulous. I easily could have had another but knew I needed to show some signs of restraint. They have many different kinds of cronuts with different frostings on top but I think the glazed cronut was the best. The line moves quickly (if there is one). We would definitely come back to this shop if we're in the area.

Green thai tea is a must after u eat the croissants!
Can't beat a great donut at the beach. The blueberry glaze is my favorite. It's also the best priced donuts in town. Yummmm.
This place was amazing. Great donuts! They can warm them if you want a warm donut. Coffee was good.
Well there's a reason why every single college student in a 80 mile radius makes a midnight drive to Newport for Seaside and that they're always a line with at least 15 people outside it at even 3 AM. The Green Thai Tea, Thai tea donuts, and Ham and Cheese croissant (with jalapeno of course) have my friends and I moaning. There was a point we'd take a 40 minute drive here every other week basically. The staff is pretty friendly considering I've gone at 11 pm, 1 am, and 2 am before. As a lot of things get over hyped this place definitely is not hyped enough. We love seaside.
What isn't to love about donuts, being cooked fresh and 24 hours!! Friendly happy staff all working hard to get the donuts out! Man, these were so good!! Light and airy! I loved them!! I highly recommend you making the stop!!
Pretty good. Not the best donuts but we liked them. The cake ones were better than the regular frosted ones. We went on a Saturday morning at 9am and the line moved quickly and they had a lot of selection.
Visited the place after the count down for New Year and oh my... there was a long line for Donut. So you know what is that mean.
Basically a delicious donut shop combines with some Asian favorite drinks. The Green Thai Ice tea is a must-try. I will come back for more and more tea. 😄
