Review Bluewater Grill - Newport Beach

The Bluewater Grill is on a little inlet in Newport Beach. It has great seafood. There's paid street parking. There's not a whole lot of parking. We came earlier than the usual lunch time. The place was fairly empty when we arrived, but there were only two empty parking spots. The place filled up after we arrived. I can't figure out where all those people parked their cars. I had a fisherman's platter consisting of fried shrimp, fried scallops, and fried cod along with french fries and coleslaw. It was delicious. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed my meal, and I recommend the Bluewater Grill.

Great location by the docks with views of the water and yachts. The restaurant wasn’t too busy for a Saturday at noon, we were able to sit outside as requested. Everyone loved their food. I had the seafood Louie salad and that was amazingly fresh. Overall, we were very pleased with our service, and can highly recommend.

Great staff, the food was ok/good, will for sure try something different next time. I’m not a sweet Entree type person so I chose poorly. Atmosphere was lovely!

Stopped by here for lunch based on a friend’s recommendation after arriving in Baltimore from Cali. I was mainly interested in crab cakes so based on the server’s recommendation we ordered the seafood combination plate which comes with a lobster tail, shrimp and scallops and a decent sized crab cake. Every thing was well prepared and tasted pretty good. The crab cake however was a bit bland, had too much breading and only contained lump crab, the amount of breading was somewhat overwhelming, I actually had to pick through it and left most of the breading on the plate. The Brussels sprouts were steamed and tasted good but after having tried roasted Brussels sprouts I no longer care for them steamed.

Bluewater Grill is a fantastic seafood restaurant in Newport Beach on the Lido Peninsula that offers a very good variety of food along with beautiful views of the harbor.

Our dinner at Blue water Grill was excellent! Everyone was happy with their order. Our little one loves salmon so I shared the Norway salmon and he got fries. He said it was the best salmon he has ever eaten. Our waiter was personable, our service excellent, and atmosphere great. Get the clam chowder! We will dine here again! So good!!?

Went here to celebrate a birthday party. The food was delicious. I had the shrimp cocktail and calamari as appetizers. Both were very good. As a main, I had the butter fish, and it was excellent. It was well seasoned, and it melted in your mouth. The service was excellent. And it's always nice sitting near the water. Overall, I would recommend trying. Unfortunately I didn't the pictures of the food

First time trying this place, not disappointed. The fish was cooked just right, although the lemon pepper mahimahi didn't have much of the lemon pepper flavor I was expecting. The misoyaki butterfish was good. The clam chowder was good with lots of clam strips, they didn't use the little clams in the shells, instead they used larger clams sliced into strips, good taste. I do recommend stopping in if you've never been here before.

This was such a cute place! I'm so glad we found it. We didn't have a reservation, but they were kind to accommodate ua. The hostesses were very sweet with a cute personality. Great ambiance and fresh fish. We all ate different things and we all loved it. Some of their dishes are fresh catch of the day! All of food was delicious. It was a great place to even order non fish/seafood dishes. Gorgeous view!

Came here for our anniversary. This place is amazing, food was 10/10, drinks were really good, service was 11/10 . Will definitely be back. Oh, and best clam chowder I've ever had. Try the half and half, you will not be disappointed. For the sweet tooth people that key-lime pie was A-1.

Sat outside near the boats. Great location, Although when I asked to be moved out of The full sun to a table in the shade, (which many were available)we were not accommodated. We asked if the umbrella could be repositioned and were told no. very disappointing. We left without ordering an entrée our appetizer was excellent.

Would absolutely go back. I had swordfish for the first time and it was delicious!! My wife I believe had the Mahi Mahi which was also quite delicious, but we agreed the seasoning on the swordfish was better. Shrimp cocktail was great. Drinks were cold and tasty. Not to crazy on price. Place and utensils were clean. Hospitality was great. Will definitely go back if ever I decide to brave that state again.

Sat on the patio and enjoyed the “award winning” clam chowder. That was delicious as was the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Wasn’t super impressed with the grits, but everything else was great!

Stopped by blue water grill on the way to Carlsbad flower fields. Service was good and food was Ok. New england clam chowder was really great, highly recommended.
