The Cannery is truly a fantastic and excellent eating place that was our second visit, and we will definitely be going back a few times when we're back in Irvine, California. Great place, great staff, and wonderful food and drinks. 👍🏾♥️ It might look expensive but with four of us and plenty of drinks including two bottles of champagne. Good value. 👍🏾

Utterly delightful restaurant and location for an exquisite meal! If you want a formal dinner on the water, this is the place. If you want delicious sushi, this is the place. The desserts are extraordinary too! The food is phenomenal, the view outstanding, but it is the staff that really makes the visit spectacular!

This is such a fun place to come to. Makes a fun outing getting in the boat and heading over to the Cannery. The staff at their dock are really great and everyone inside is awesome.
The food is fantastic and the history of the building really makes the atmosphere. It's always a great time when we have any meal over here.

Newport Beach is the land of good restaurants but definitely the cannery is one of the best. Beautiful location with absolutely delicious food. Clam chowder was awesome, highly recommended. Guacamole was so fresh and tasty. Fish and chips was also great.

Sat on the patio and enjoyed a phenomenal dinner here! Service was prompt and friendly and the food was awesome. We tried a whole variety of things from sushi to fresh fish to soup. Everything was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. Well worth the price tag!

We've been dining here for longer than I can remember. Seen this place through all the changes. Great food, awesome view, however service can be hit or miss. This time we couldn't catch our waitresses' attention to save our lives...or food & drink order. Table of 4, so not incredibly large table. All in all, the food & view win, and probably the reason people will continue to visit time & time again. Hey Cannery management! Tip to your crew: more happy customers, bigger tips, meaning way more than 20%!!!

great service - they have a sushi bar in the “jellyfish lounge” I love the decor and atmosphere, they had a little fire seating area that seats a party of 9 which is great if you have a large party and celebrating a event, lots of sushi options and miso soup

Had an amazing experience with Cole as our server. You could not ask for a kinder, more efficient person to serve you. The drinks and food items were spot on. We had a great view of the water on the second floor. I highly recommend this location and hope you are fortunate to have Cole wait on you.

This place is terrific. When I read some of the reviews and they complained about small portions, I was bracing myself for a New American type meal. Not sure what they were expecting but the portions were well sized! I couldn’t even finish my meal. The sushi was fresh, fish was all cooked perfectly, wait staff and bartenders top notch. A perfect start to a visit out on the left coast. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is very nice. We had a table outside and the view was astonishing. The food is prepared quickly and tastes very good. The Benedict eggs were slightly spicy, but still delicious, the clam chowder was good, and the oysters were fantastic. Fish and chips were usual. It’s good to have a reservation, especially on weekends because the spot is quite crowded.
