If you pop in looking for breakfast all day, they've got it. I asked for the french toast and some eggs over. Thank you to the crew here for letting me sit for a while after the lightning and rain storm. If you like nostalgia, take a look at the beautiful murals on the walls; painted by a local artist who passed away earlier this year from coronavirus.

Mr. Burgundy’s is amazing! Let’s talk about the overall experience and the service! The very first time I walked into the restaurant, they welcome you so warmly. The woman at the counter was so sweet. I come from a close knit family and cooking is what brings us together. I immediately felt like I was sitting in my Grandma’s kitchen amongst my family. Very “homey” atmosphere. Now the food. It was delicious! I tried a little of everything because I was bringing food home for my family. Salmon cakes, grits, eggs, French toast, BEEF BACON! Everything was good! The other day I ordered from Mr. burgundy’s via Grubhub. I was unable to go pick the food up myself. I called the restaurant to add my sides because the app wouldn’t let me do it. Shortly after, Grubhub cancelled my order. I’m not surprised because I truly despise Grubhub, but I was desperate. They didn’t even notify the restaurant that they cancelled the order smh. So I called them. The woman told me that my food was already made, but I had no way of getting there. Nevertheless, the cook himself got in his car and brought my food to me. That’s the service I’m referring to. They go over and beyond to make your overall experience a good one. I would recommend this place a million times over!

Try the beef bacon, whatever you do. They can also make you a Frenchtoast sandwich with beef bacon egg and cheese.
There is not a lot of room to sit down besides the counter, but this place is very popular to-go.

Oh my god! The food is bomb. So I’m visiting from dc and was looking for a nice down home breakfast. Babbby this spot is it . Very family oriented, large portions and the lady upfront gives you a motherly vibe . Whenever I’m in the area I’m deff coming to get my plate. The address listed is wrong it’s 224 S Orange , across from the Rutgers hospital
