Food is pretty good. They sometimes have hiccups but if you say something they will do their best to fix it. I’ve been coming here for years. Especially for the Eid Breakfast special. But this review is for during Ramadan. They were speedy and the food was good and fresh. There were some mistakes but our waiter was wonderful and tried to fix our order right away. Overall good service, food, and prices.

Great food. Courteous staff. Dine in available, table and chairs, and even counter seating too. You feel the love when you enter. You'll see the establishment has a very comfortable vibe. There's no parking lot but free street parking is available.

I visited this location for the first time today. I ordered the BBQ Ribs .
The food was COLD. There was so much grease and fat on the meat it clumped together, and since the food was cold it had started to turn white before I could take my first bite. The taste of the food, and even the cornbread, was substandard. I frequent the Lyons Ave. location and expected something comparable. This was a complete disappointment. Please do better. If you have the same name, at least keep the same standards.

Love this place. All the food is great, my fave entree is the smothered turkey chops but I've never been dissatisfied with a meal here. The breakfast is delicious too. Staff is always friendly and prices are totally reasonable. One of my fave soul food restaurants in Jersey.

$40 of food in the trash last night. Cold, not fresh, sides were meh (they usually do a decent/ fair job with the frozen and boxed items), food was not hot and weird flavoring used for the turkey dishes. It wasn't good Fam. Even the cake was an oily hot mess. Be light on certain ingredients. We can have soul(ish) food that's not so heavy either. I understand, there's a decline and understandable with a community shift. I leave this to will you all improvement only and for the best of business and service

2nd time ordering from here. First time was excellent experience, food was fresh and tasted great. Ordered online this time including 3 orders of cream of chicken soup. When pickup person arrived at the restaurant, was told that only chicken noodle and split pea soup were available. First, how do you advertise 7 different soups on your menu and only have 2 available? Second, my phone number was included in the online order... would it have been that hard to call and say that part of my order wasn't available? Also found out that the order of eggs wasn't available (how are you out of eggs on a Sunday morning?)... was never refunded for the eggs that weren't included in my order.
Customer service issues seem to be a recurring theme here... 😒

Excellent service and outstanding variety on menu. The food is top notch. The price is more affordable than any other restaurant I’ve gone to hands down for the quality and taste. My new restaurant from now on.
