Omar's Cafe

I love the Cuban sandwiches from this place the bread is beautiful it's crisp and perfectly toasted, the ham tastes fresh and not like from a deli. Overall it's my favorite place to get a Cuban sandwich. They have a walk-up window that I usually go to and it's a slight language barrier I speak English they speak Spanish but we eventually figure out what I'm getting. It's a great place to stop in if you're in Newark

I had placed an order online. Went through successfully. Waited my 7 minutes for food to be prep and ready to go. I get in to Omar's and they are out of everything I ordered. Was told to wait for Omar. Refused a refund by the lady falling asleep by the door sitting at the dirty table. I had to sit and wait for something that I didn't even want 😞 the lady behind the counter was very apologetic and offered me options. But please update your menu to food items that you ACTUALLY HAVE in restaurant. #not a returning customer.

Highly disappointed! Omar you made money off the people of Newark and let your business go down in quality. The staff is rude, especially Gina. She just told me she does not care what I think or want as a customer. The spot is dirty and the staff is rude. Save your time and money and bypass! Omars time as a great spot has passed! Been coming here for over twenty years... what a joke you've become...RIP El Rey de Nada!
