Today is St. Patrick’s Day and I usually stop in here at Penn for a coffee and bagel and sometimes buy dozen of bagels to bring to work. But this morning I stopped in to bring some St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes and they were not fresh. I bought 6 cupcakes little green frosting on them regular size $18.99 and Irish soda bread to take into work. It was embarrassing as the cupcakes were stale and the service was awful. I asked for paper plates they said no and made faces at me. The bakery had blasting heavy metal rocking roll music on and you could hardly hear anything. This was not how I wanted to start my morning.
I’m hoping they are new hires and were just filling in as temps because they ruined the traditional experience at Zaro’s this morning. No manager to speak to. So disappointing.

The CS here is excellent. Everyone I have ever spoken or that has served me are always are polite and pleasant. The pastries/breads, etc are FRESH and delicious, ALWAYS. The hot food on the other hand isn't that great. If you are rushing or not from the area and hungry then I suppose it will do, but everything is microwaved (which doesn't make it taste that great) and its about $6 for a meat, egg & cheese- on a really good fresh bagel/roll/etc. You would get something FRESH and cheaper elsewhere.

I had the exilerating experience of receiving the most impeccable customer service from an individual by the name of Lisa during my visit at Zaros eatery in Newark Penn Station. If ure ever n that area please put up a snack r 2 from Zaros especially is working.

This is the most filthiest bakery that I have ever seen so far. I saw a fly go on the white and chocolate frosted donut and I told the female worker there about it as I was about to make my order in the morning and she just waved her hand at it nonchalantly and didn't even throw the donut away. And I'm not talking about a fruit fly but a average sized house fly is what I'm talking about. They should have something to cover the food on display by the side where they serve it like installing a glass door so no bug can land on the food because that's very unsanitary and people can get sick especially during the time of covid-19.

Disappointed they didn't have anything available to eat for Passover week or have any knowledge. I mean it's a Jewish establishment..... Very disappointed

The cakes suck and the price is just exorbitant! It seems they sell stale cakes that rats have discarded
