Spanish Tavern - Newark - Photo album

We went last night for my mother in laws birthday and it was amazing. We got there at 5:30 on a Saturday. It was all amazing, food was delicious, hot, and simply perfect. We were a party of 9 and the service was 100% on point with all our needs and waiters were very nice and friendly. Also made sure
The waitstaff was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, the restaurant was elegant yet comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Predominantly serving dishes with coastal influences, this Spanish roots restaurant is a must. It's a bit upscale and a bit on the higher range of cost
What a experience. Took my daughter and her friend there will they missed there flight. The waiters, meal, everything was incredible. I has the NY strip and it was perfect plus a craft beer from the oldest brewery in Spain.
Excellent service and very good food. Had dinner on Wednesday with a party of 5. Mario Trindade was a wonderful waiter with lots of stories and great interaction. I thought the food was good but not great across the board. Chorizo was on point, shrimp was just okay and I didn’t care for the squid
Great food and great service. I think it easily deserves a 4.5 stars. Removing half if star because bread was somehow "old" or definitely not on Spanish or Portuguese standards. Sauces were also good but felt a little bit weirdly too similar. On the good part, great selection of wine and not overly
Came in from Boston and went there bc it came highly recommended. Had dinner at the bar bc we did not have reservations... Best move ever! The bartender (Juan???) was super attentive and very informative about the menu!(And clearly he did great work with the drinks bc I can't recall his name right n
After all these years of having it on my saved want to go list, I finally made it to the Spanish tavern! I don't know what took me all these years to get here but boy am I glad I finally did. This gem located in the heart of a nearby Newark neighborhood is everything you can imagine about a Spanish
Love this place it’s always so good. I’ve been here multiple times the food is always delicious. Their paella is the best I’ve ever had in there sangria is also very delicious. The wait staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. This place is a classic go to for traditional Spanish dishes
