Stopped in while boating through the canal. Fair pricing , good portions, good food. Service was very good despite a very busy house and clearly a staff that was shorthanded. Would definitely come back!
I was impressed by how quickly the food came out. The place was probably 80% full with only 30% of tables served. I expected a 20-30 min and the food was out in under 10. The kitchen has their act together for sure!

Love this place. Food is among the best in Newark, and inexpensive for huge portions. Also comes out quickly as well.
And the margaritas, Though they are a bit on the pricey side. They are so very worth it. Staff is always super friendly.

You are warmly greeted and seated. They served chips and salsa as we looked at the menu....our food and service was wonderful! And we will make a repeat trip.

If you start eating here you will keep coming back. The food is delicious and seems healthy and home made. An authentic Mexican style place with seating indoors. Go here for a good meal.... although primarily take out, you will pay less for a well served meal in a restaurant. Delicious.The workers are professional, caring people!!! Thank you so much, sad that in Buffalo we haven't like this one.

Best Mexican food in the finger lakes area, even better then Geneva ny and Waterloo NY, It must be the cook. Although the other two places are very good, they're just not as good as this one service is top notch. Those girls work their butts off!! Very good food

My wife and I have been coming here for years now. The food is always delicious. And the service is super quick. I have my food in 10 minutes tops. My favorite dish being the pollo asado with rice and beans.

The last time we were here, the food was overcooked and bland. We decided to give it one more chance and I'm very happy we did. The chimichangas were amazing. The fried beans had a wonderful texture and included whole beans. The salsa and chips were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The fried ice cream was wonderful. The Xangos were a little disappointing because they didn't have enough cheesecake filling (They only had about 2 tablespoons of filling inside a large tortilla. They've been much fuller in the past). Besides the amazing food, our server, Belle, was very friendly and efficient. I have already put this place back on my list of favorite restaurants.

Wasn't sure we could fine something gluten free so we asked. Our server was super helpful suggesting dishes and substitutions. Not only was the food delivered quickly, it was delicious and my gosh there was plenty of it! My 10yo gluten free son found something he really enjoyed. That's huge! Great job Monterrey. Gracias!

My family visited twice and both times the food was good but the service was not. We waited a long time for our meals on both visits, needed to wait until we had a server go by to ask for silverware to eat, ask for drink refills, the owner was barking orders to her staff that should have been handled differently and not in earshot of customers. We needed to request the bill twice etc. We miss the friendly customer service that D's provided their staff and customers.

One of the few restaurants that take Togo walk ins that I have been in. To top it off, for my wait, the staff offered a drink on the house, I opted for water. The gesture itself was nice. Plus the food itself is nice.
