Who gives a little noodle shop 5 stars? Man, I do! This little hole in the wall serves the best Japanese noodle soups you can find! I love popping in here when it's cold outside. Beware, there can be a long wait and it's tiny so there's really no place to wait. Really important - they don't use MSG!!! Most noodle shops pour the junk in without regard to their customers' health - Rai Rai cares about you!
Update - did the larger spot, though prices have gone up. Still great. Ask for the kimchi that's not on the menu - it'll clear you out - you won't be disappointed.

An excellent Ramen Bar that makes some excellent bowls that have great flavor. I ordered the Wonton Ramen and it was on a cold day after walking across the Brooklyn Bridge so it warmed me right up. They have great gyoza for appetizer and there are a few others that very refreshing, but not too much. You are definitely going to want to come hungry here because the portions of ramen are massive. The service here is great and waitresses are very kind. They are attentive and check on you often. Overall I think this is one of the better places to get Ramen in Manhattan that hasn’t been apart of the fad and trend of Ramen Bars. Being around for nearly 20 years the restaurant is obviously doing something and has been ahead of the fad/trend.

Been here twice, both times the food was good! I don’t much like the miso ramen but the kara age and other ramens are delicious. Happy hour is great because you receive free edamame with a pitcher. Affordable, tasty and relaxing vibes. The decor is awesome, I love the art they use. It’s worth your time and it’s definitely worth the money.

Great taste of ramen and dinner combo is nice

A simple menu of delicious, mostly noodle-based dishes. The restaurant is a really well-priced and a cozy environment, with a bar, and mostly tables for 2 to 4 people. If you’re looking to seat a larger than four party, it might not work for you, because the place is too narrow for anything but shotgun style seating. I eat there twice a week.

This ramen spot has great chewy noodles. I always order the curry ramen and it never fails to satisfy my craving. Dinner can get busy so I would recommend to go early like 6 - 6:30 pm. Lunch is usually not as busy so seating is not a problem.
