If you are a Ramen lover, that’s the place. It’s been around for a while and the menu options doesn’t change much but their classics are great. They have other options but for me the Ramen is the go to. The sizes of the bowl are fair and the taste is incredible. They have a good price by the way. Place is not big though, if you’re going on the weekends I suggest you make a reservation, specially if you plan to go in groups of 3 or more.

Yama Ramen has been around for quite some time, and is a good fallback if you are craving a bowl. The pork broth was decently flavorful, the noodles were a little overcooked. The pork was excellent and tender. A hidden place less traveled due to it's second floor placement, great to sit in a quieter spot for a meal.

Ramen!! Service 5 stars Food 5 stars Prices 5 stars Environment 5 starts I think they have the best Ramen in Manhattan, even NYC. I been looking for the best ramen about 2 years ago and I find it. The portions are really good, they are so tasty and traditional, you can feel that you’re in Asia. The restaurant is gorgeous and comfortable. The service is excellent and kind. The prices are good, i can even say for the service that they give, the food and the environment the prices are cheap. I order for the table Tonkutsu ramen: it was delicious. Veggie ramen: this was the most surprising one because was really good, and it wasn’t spicy ( mistake that the restaurant make when the do something vegan/veggie they make it spicy ) Chicken ramen: really good too.

By far one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. The flavors were incredible, especially the braised beef. I had never had kimchi before and it was a great introduction. Excellent wait staff and timing for food. All around a great experience. Pictured is the Yama beef don.

One out of many good ramen restaurants in the city. As you walk up the stairs and head into the restaurant it feels as something you'd experience in Tokyo. It was clean, friendly staff and nice art pieces around the restaurant. The food was great and a good refresher to get you back out there and exploring the city.

The food tasted great! Good portion for the size (for the ramen) and the buns are delicious. I had a reservation but when I arrived there was plenty of seating, although not for long because it started to fill up. Staff are nice and service was good. I can't wait to go back! The seats don't have a back support so just mentioning that in case that's important to someone for accessibility reasons. Also it's on the second floor, quite a bit of stairs to take. Other than that it was a good experience.

This is as close to an authentic Japanese place as possible that I've been to. Authentic Japanese decor with stools that let you store your bag, authentic Japanese decorations and windows that make it look like your own n a more traditional Japanese place. The staff is friendly, caring but above all the food not only looks good but tastes good! I'm definitely coming back here. If you're ever in the NYC area and want some Japanese food give this place a try and don't let the stairs to the second floor discourage you.

The ramen was amazing, lovely flavors and toppings. The only bad thing was the egg which was just a regular boiled egg half instead of a halfway boiled seasoned soy sauce egg which is the common in ramen. The pork was soft and tender, melted in your mouth. Takoyakis were too small and octopus not too tender. For these two things I take one star away but honestly, I do recommend this place.
