Otto's Tacos

This places reminds me of Torchy’s Tacos back home except not as many options to choose from. I got a carnitas taco. It was great. The meat was tender and the ingredients were fresh. It was juicy without making my corn tortilla fall apart. The staff was friendly and the area was clean. Not busy for lunch time on a Thursday. I’ll return if I’m really feeling a taco or trying one of the burritos or bowl.

The corn tacos having amazing taste and are warmed up just right. They are also durable and won't rip while eating. The taco bowl is also a great option, you get a great portion size of each ingredient and perfectably sharable. Any of the meats are great options, although I have a strong preference for the carnitas.

We've wanted to try this location, as we're huge fans of the Otto's on 2nd Ave. We were not disappointed! And we learned something new. Each Otto's makes it's own. There's no humongous commissary somewhere making 50 gallon drums of salsa. Everything is fresh. Service is quick and efficient, even when they are busy - as they were when we were there. And the restrooms are clean!! btw - very funny sign in the restroom. We love the regular tacos, but also a fan of the gordon - a crunchy, thicker American Indian version of the tortilla. Otto's is truly A+ all the way around. Got a kick out of sitting there watching people walk into the fast food places on the street, think - dopes . . . you're missing the best tacos in NYC!!
