I stopped across 7th Avenue from Penn Station for a cup of tea and a chocolate macaroon. The tea was piping hot. The macaroon, while delicious, was a bit stale.

Affordable and quaint. Not over crowded the times I visit, which is a good thing for NYC. They can be found all over the city. Simple menu, tasty salads. If the food wasn't satisfying, I wouldn't spend money there.

Great place to get your bearings in the Big Bad Apple.
New York is a truly big (very big) city and, for a newcomer, Europe Cafe was a great place to relax and get your bearings, with a good selection of reasonably priced comfort food (the colossal slices of cheesecake alone are worth a visit) to settle your nerves before setting out to explore this giant puzzle of a town.
The staff were very friendly. I was looking for a place to consult my smartphone for navigation so I didn't have a chance to test their knowledge of the city.
A bit on the small side, otherwise a full 5 stars.

We recently spent a couple of days in New York and once we found this cafe, we ate here all the time.
So much choice and absolutely amazing food, what ever you had. My traveling companion is Vegan, so she had a wide selection to choose from.
Brilliant people and food, would recommend it to anyone. Well I already have to quite a number of baits travelling to New York.
