Excellent food, great service and equally brilliant ambience. My wife and I just walked in from the street in search of food on our 1st visit to the city. The host was gracious enough to accommodate our without a reservation and the staff was very polite. It was pleasant turn of circumstances for us that an impromptu lunch into a wonderful fine dining experience. That it happened on our wedding anniversary was just the cherry the top.

Excellent service, food, and attention. I came for a dinner with coworkers and left with wanting to come back again (bringing family and friends) next time I’m in town. Amazing cocktails and food selection. Please ask for Raj, your time at Saar will be one to remember!! He was amazing!!!

Had an incredible colleague dinner here! Incredible food + really unique and cool cocktail presentation and Raj took CARE of us. Kind hearted, attentive, and amicable. It was wonderful discussing all together and sharing life moments. Would absolutely come back.

A group of colleagues (leaders, seniors and peers) were meeting after 2-3 years. The restaurant management was thoughtful enough to accommodate the right seating arrangement for us where we had our own space and time to chat and catch-up. The food options were great and the cocktails were out-of-the-box! The chef and owner provided us with a complimentary chaat. We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. Would love to come again in the future!!

The restaurant is well located for the theatre district. We opted to order from the regular menu instead of the pre-theatre prix fixe menu. The food was great. The service was also top notch. We’ll return the next time we’re in NYC for a meal when we’re not in a hurry to get to a show.

Fantastic and fresh food. Afan was an amazing server. Very attentive. Highly recommend. The Cochin black pepper chicken was delicious and had a great slow heat that had me sweating by the end of the meal.

Amazing Indian food experience. Came here just before a Broadway show, had the 3 course meal. Delicious, everything was excellent, so flavorful and tasty. Walk across the street to the Gerschwin theatre, so convenient!

Phenomenal. An unknown gem in the theatre district. We came with a pulsd voucher for my partner's birthday after a show, and the staff was incredibly gracious despite the fact that we ran quite late (the show went over time) and still gave excellent service. The food was knockout good; we had the samosa sampler and tandoori prawns, and our friends had jackfruit biryani. The drinks are very creative not just in showy garnishes but also in flavour composition; the aroma from the saffron infused gin keeps blooming in your mouth for a solid minute after you sip, and the charred cedar boxes gives a beautiful contrast to the mango. Would give ten stars if we could and I will absolutely return with more friends.

Went before the theater crowd went and it was amazing! Definitely one of the best places to eat in this area. The staff were so friendly. The food was amazing. Accommodating to one of our group who was sensitive to some foods. The drinks were crazy good. Can’t say enough good things.

Saar has an incredible assortment of food and an attentive, dedicated team! My colleagues and I had the best dinner here in their outside seating - a meal I definitely won’t forget. Avtar and his staff are great :)
