Wolfgang's Steakhouse

I have visited multiple locations of Wolfgang. It is one of my favorite steakhouse, but if you have an option visit other locations since this one is located on the first floor of a hotel. It is small and crowded and does not offer the usual atmosphere that the other locations offer. Other than that there is no complain love the porterhouse and crab cake from Wolfgang. If it’s your birthday, they will also service a small birthday cake made out of whip cream haha. Cute.

I have fond memories of Spago in Chicago, and looked forward to dinner here. Given that the style is very different, it's hard to compare. But in other ways, there's the same attention to service, and food that lacks nothing in quality. The menu offers typical steakhouse fare, and while the food was delicious, it is hard to differentiate from other top steakhouses in NY. While the restaurant is relatively small, it doesn't feel cramped and there was enough room for an enjoyable quiet dinner.

This is a good place to go for a nice dinner. We were a group of about 20 ppl. This was a last minute plan and we did not have a reservation ahead of time. I called the restaurant an hour before going in for our last minute dinner plan. The manager Hodo, took it upon himself to accommodate our large group in the last minute and had taken personal care to make sure that our group was well taken care of. The food was great and so was the service. Specially the waiter staff Arijan, Tony & Eduardo. They had taken good care of our requests and were always ready. I will definitely be back at this location for the service and special care they have taken.

I like the steak there and it is so far the best steak I've ever had (I usually don't have steak and I ordered medium rare). If you're coming in 3 people make sure you order 2 people's portion. If you're coming in 2 make sure you order 1 person's. If you want any appetizers or desserts, you should definitely order even less!! I like the service there but I guess can see why some reviews mentions the waiters/waitresses are condescending - during our visit, I felt they keep taking glimpse at our plates in a way that made me uncomfortable and wonder why lol. Maybe they care more about whether you can finish the food? Maybe I'm overthinking but that was just how I felt... Food is good and if you order one steak for 2 people, the price is actually not bad!

Amazing service, great food, and a good ambience, this Wolfgang's location is close to a lot nearby. Their portions are big, so be careful. Try the bacon as an appetizer, you won't regret it. Their steak is one of the top steaks I've ever had, in combination with their creamed spinach, onion rings and potatoes. Their appetizers may fill you up, but definitely try the seafood as it's very fresh daily. If you go by earlier in the day, you can miss the crowded lines sometimes, but call in for a reservation ahead of time if you can.

Great food dont get me wrong! But.. for the price point I'd expect the potatoes not to be too salty, the mac and cheese to bring something new to the table and the service to offer more helpful information (wine to pair with the meal, recommended sides, etc.). The space is small but no too small. Nice lighting and general good atmosphere. Enjoy!
