The Wheeltapper Pub - New York City - Photo album

An old school pub styled with dark wood panelled interiors, the wheeltapper is charmingly modelled on the interior of old railway carriages. It serves as a kind of living museum for the old railway, with lots of old and interesting memorabilia. The menu includes some traditional pub fare. I enjoy
This is a place that should NOT be missed! This small train themed Irish pub is quaint and lovely. Kris is one of the best bartenders to have served me drinks. His kindness is beyond measure and his professionalism and level of hospitality is beyond measure! I cannot wait until my next visit to NYC
So I was in town at the end of May visiting family and at the time Wheeltapper wasn’t listed separately on Google Maps but instead was part of the Fitzpatrick’s page. If it’s available the patio is where you want to be. After spending hours in the organized chaos of Summit One the chill ambiance wa
Stopped in to get out of the wind. Quaint little Irish Pub with lots of wood, and rustic appeal. I had the calamari which was good, with a pint of Guinness. Service was quick, and to the point. We enjoyed ourselves.
While the bar was busy, it wasn’t overly loud - and there was some booths you could sit at to have a more private conversation. Food & drinks were great too! The bathrooms were also surprisingly large & clean.
A great English/ Irish pub. Definitely an after work drinks kind of location and crowd. During work hours, the bar looks so empty/ so quiet. But the moment happy hours strikes 🍻🍻 so come early to get a table. It can get cramped so be wary. I think they have a happy hour but I don't remember. Beers
Classic Irish pub. Beautiful dark wood trimmed interior, subtle lighting. Small bar in front, larger bar area with high tables in back. Nice, private booth seating in front and middle of restaurant. Good menu, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrées. Good drink selection, cocktails, mixed drinks, wh
Depending on the section, it can be very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. But there are quieter tables and booths available. Service is top notch.
Much better than I expected. We went on a quiet Saturday lunch. We had the steamed dumplings, chicken club and potatoe skins. All good. Was expecting mediocre pub food, but was happy it was much better. And the club was a real club, with 3 slices of bread (not a chicken sandwich with bacon!)
Nice pub-like atmosphere and decor. Very tasty beers on tap. Fast and friendly service.
The establishment boasts a fantastic and amiable team, a comprehensive Irish menu, and an impressive assortment of premium liquor and ale. Whether it's a special occasion or just another day, this place is the perfect spot to kickstart your morning, especially on Saint Patrick's Day. They offer brea

The Shepard's pie was awesome...great place to hang out while I was waiting for the train.
Old school pub, a few steps from Grand Central. Pub fare is good, beer outstanding.
