This is definitely a dive bar but the crowd is friendly, and it's worth a visit if you love show tunes with sing-a-long music! This is an experience in itself. There’s a lot of talent inside the walls of Marie’s Crisis…

All show tunes all night. Cash only. Beer, shots and wine as far as I could tell. Singing servers. Patrons who know all the words and belt them out. A riot

My new favorite place in NYC! Cash-only bar and no food, but the talent is God-level and the vibe is perfection. All showtunes, all the time, surrounded by fellow patrons who all know every damn word to every damn show and have the chops to belt them out! A must-see!

I really enjoyed going to this place. The only down side is THERE IS NO FOOD!! I didn’t know that, and it was my first time going. So I had to go to a place across the street and eat then come back. If you’re a Broadway lover, choir singer, or just looking for a good time with drinks: this is your place. I really like that they did older Broadway tunes but also new and current things like “Hamilton” and “Six” It allowed there to be something for everyone.

Super fun! Only in NY can you buy a $6 drink and listen to some of the best voices sing Broadway songs all night. Get there early if you want a seat.

What a wonderful spot. The atmosphere was incredible. We went on a Thursday evening so it was busy but we were still able to get seats. Definitely recommend making this part of any trip to NY.

One of my favorite NYC places! All Broadway, amazing piano players, and everyone sings! Not fancy, but the BEST music off Broadway!

I had a blast here, even though I don't know too many showtunes. At first, while I was there, the pianist played mostly songs from Chorus Line, which I haven't seen. But after maybe half an hour, he transitioned to some Disney songs which was a blast to sing along to. I looked this place up before coming and saw many reviews about rude staff, so it was quite funny to meet the bartender in question. My friend asked for a couple normal drinks but he just snapped, "No." It took a much nicer cocktail waiter telling us to "think of drinks two ingredients or less" to understand. Makes sense for a dive bar, but it isn't hard to explain that without acting like a d***. The waiters were much nicer and gave great service, even while weaving through quite the crowd. I came at about 10 pm on a Saturday and waited for maybe 20 minutes to get in. No cover, but they do want you to have a 2 drink minimum and to tip the pianist, which all makes sense.

A tiny bar in the underground. Came here on a weekday night so it’s not crowded at all. Got a singer and a pianist in the bar and the singing was awesome! Really got some tenants here I would say. The drinks were basic cocktails and I liked the one I got. It’s pretty cheap and you pay after each drink in cash. A nice spot to grab some drinks with friends, especially if you enjoy musicals :)

Amazing piano bar with nothing but show tunes. Bartender was great. Generous pours and a great time. If you aren't an alphabet kid might not be the place for you.

If you have any room in your already hoarder-like heart livingspace you’ll go here. Two drink minimum, but there’s no limit on Broadway showtunes babyyyy

This is such a fun spot, we always try and come at least once each time we visit. The drinks are cheap and boozy, the music is compulsory to sing along with. Show tunes of all eras and some cracking voices in the crowd. Bring cash as the bar doesn’t take any cards and you’ll also need some $$$ for that tip jar (which you will definitely want to fill)

If you like musicals, and you like to sing along, you're making plans to go here. Even if you don't know the words, just watching those who do is certainly enjoyable. The two drink minimum is completely affordable, and please make sure to tip the piano player. Bring your open mind and your open heart. No bashing allowed. #LoveIsLove
