Absolutely love this spot! The oysters are fresh and the food is good. Great service. This is a bonus on top of the beautiful scenes of being on a boat in soho with stunning views of the buildings and water.

I brought my husband here for his birthday on a Sunday afternoon. I reserved seats at the bar. Keep in mind not all areas of the boat are under shade so be aware that you may need to wear your strongest spf. The boat is beautiful and our server was great. We really enjoyed each dish. We got oysters and the cocktail shrimp, it was all divine. For our entrees we ordered the scallops and the Steelhead. Both were delicious but my favorite was the Steelhead trout. I’d recommend this restaurant not only does it have a nice ambiance but the food is pretty great if you like seafood.

A Caribbean getaway in downtown Manhattan. We dined here last night and it was an overall good experience. The views are amazing from this restaurant that’s actually on a boat. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. Great ambiance with Caribbean vibes and music mix. Oysters were delicious and so were the cocktails. We were able to get a rum punch custom made and it was amazing. You will spend a bit more given the location and overall experience. Portions are on the smaller side in my opinion so make sure you get some appetizers. Food is fresh and delish - especially the lobster roll and lobster salad. Everyone said the food was tasty given we all finished our food. It was an overall awesome experience and a great Friday evening. We will revisit some point in the future for appetizers abs cocktails.

Nothing short of excellence. I surprised my hubby for a date night and we had an amazing time. He ordered the scallops and I did the caviar service. We also shared a dozen oysters, half east & west coast. Had a couple of drinks as well. It is pricey but worth every penny. The hospitality is also great. Highly recommend for a nice ambiance, cool breeze and dope pics.

Its a walk from the road but worth it. Went here just before the lunch rush and got myself a seat at the bar. Ordered a dozen oysters and the lobster rolls. Both were good and very tasty.
Had a watermelon cocktail and that was amazing too.
Service was great and servers very attentive.
The only downside is coming here when the water is too choppy as the boat definitely rocks. So if you get seasick easily, take a motion sickness tablet before coming here.

One of my favourite dining experience anywhere. When you dine at Grand Banks, you are eating on a ship that is docked at the pier. The atmosphere is nautical and authentic. Grabbing oysters, seafood and drinks here is always a good time!

Super fun lunch spot on the river! Food was yummy and great service! Only downside was that it was super hot and no fans, luckily we were in the shade, i dont know how others copied in the direct sunlight! We were at the bar which i didnt mind but was a bit tight for space, lots of people past by us!

We have been there twice
We discovered the Grand Banks at Pier 25 during our recent visit to the City. It's a great quite place to relax and enjoy cold drinks, cocktails and freshly prepared food. The view is breathtaking. You can enjoy a marvelous view: the Hudson River, One World, downtown Manhattan and of course Jersey City. The service team is very attentive and looking after you on a very professional way. I found out that even a team member from Switzerland is working at the bar. The manager is supporting and taking his time to talk to the guests and surprise them. I can really recommend this place.

What a nice place to have a date. For my family it was a short night out for exceptional experience on a boat to dine. As it was crowded with people we could only reserve a place at 22:00. Had already dinner so that we only went there for a platter of oysters. Oysters were fresh and tasted wonderful. Staff were kind. As we were dining on a boat u can imagine that the boat is moving along with the tide. We only stayed there for 40min as we were tired from all the walks around the beautiful Hudson River. Great place. Will come back with my wife.

Wanna drink on a boat and call yourself a booshie pirate without going to sea? This is the place for you. Drinks were great, the oysters were fantastic, and the view was perfect (lucky with a beautiful day). Can’t beat a weekend afternoon sipping under a sail.
**note some people may get sea sick so be prepared!

Fun spot to grab oysters on the river! We stopped by without a lunch reservation, and managed to get two seats at the bar. The oysters were shucked fresh, the mignonette was the perfect blend of vinegar and shallots, the hot sauce the right amount of spice. The ambiance can’t be beat, an oyster bar on an old fishing boat sitting on the Hudson River. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re visiting NYC.

This place passed my expectation, the food and drinks was great and our hostess absolutely phenomenal. We had such a good time i accidentally drop the fork into to river, I guess that fork is swimming with the fishes for now. Most go place.👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍

What an experience! On a beautiful day in NYC, spending your time with a great team and great food is for “YES” for me. My girlfriend, friends and I had a great experience overall and will definitely go again.
Helpful Tip: If you are sensitive to motion sickness, I recommend doing a table and not the “Oyster Bar”.
Cocktails: Tropicalia
- What a refreshing and tasty drink to have to compliment your experience.
Dish:
- The Lobster Rolls & French Fries is a must to item to enjoy.
Thanks to the Grand Banks team for their great service.

Great spot for 4th of July or firework watching - had a great view of the 20 minute firework show across the Hudson river.
Lobster roll was good ($34) and drinks are expensive (cocktails for $16 and over) but good.
The bloody mary was good, but contains fish! Which is not written on the menu. My boyfriend has a fish allergy and ordered it so that was a problem.
Not great service, kinda sassy/annoyed vibes.

If you’re looking for a fun brunch spot, look no further! The oysters were amazing(I recommend the west coast) and the atmosphere was great. We were worried about getting sea sick, but that didn’t happen.
Definitely recommend Grand Banks if you’re looking for delicious food and a different change of scenery

I recently visited Grand Banks and was impressed by the stunning views, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional customer service. The ambiance is truly captivating, creating an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. The only reason I'm deducting a star is due to the prices, which I found a bit on the higher side for the portions offered. For instance, our bill came to $115 for just two drinks and two small portions of food. Nevertheless, the overall experience was fantastic, making Grand Banks a worthwhile destination for anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience.

Everything we ate and drank was delicious. The watermelon salad was super refreshing on a hot day. Loved the cocktails and our servers at the bar took exceptional care of us.

Awesome vibe at Grand Banks especially during sunset time. You are on an actual floating boat, so be careful if you have motion sickness.
Food & drinks are good but quite pricey. If you love oysters, they’ve got them from all over the region.
Service is nimble, spirits are high.
If you are a group, def try to reserve your spot at the tip of the boat rather than back.
Ready to sail this summer?

I really wanted to love this place.
I chose the location for my adult children to take me for my 50th birthday. I expected that for the price point the service would be top notch but that was not the case. Our waiter did not bring us plates and forks for our $44 oysters, (which were very sandy), until I flagged someone down and even then it was a different member of the wait staff who I was forced to ask... and that was just the tip of the iceberg as far as the service went.
The location is amazing. The views are spectacular. But for dinner? The menu is too limited and dessert is a single option. This is best left for cocktails only. I'm hoping the bartender/bartendress is a lot more attentive for a $16 cocktail if I ever choose to return.
Seth Goodman
Very fresh and tasty oysters. Very nice location with cool views. Only negative is the price of the drinks. $16 is normal for NYC but just a bit high. Beers are $10. More reasonable. Worth the trip. Nice staff. Hard to have a bad seat. Sit at the bar if you can.
Tania Marissa
The views are spectacular! The seats are uncomfortable. The drinks are too pricey for quantity. Don’t go here hungry. Parking in the area is difficult and parking garages are pricey also. I would definitely go back for the view.

Perfect date night! Service was excellent--the best we've experienced in a very long time. The food is delicious although our soft-shell crab came out a bit tepid--still delicious! The lobster roll was beyond...

Excellent food, drinks & atmosphere. I would recommend to everyone.

Great place, good food, TERRIBLE service. Long wait, zero wine options, average food.
Brian Chen
Amazing views of the park, river and Hoboken! The line looked pretty daunting but it moved pretty quickly and the oysters and drinks were worth the wait. Go a little later to avoid the heat.

New York spot like no other
Staff very competent
Coktails so good that you drink them so fast
Just bring a jacket can be chilly at the evenings

You must love this place. Wait... place? Boat!!! And their stuff as well as their art.

Had one of the best Old Fashioned OF THE SUMMER, and the Oysters were Phenomenal!
Christina Giacobbe Earp
Ahoy!! That ship was the bomb! Worth the wait for a seat at the oyster bar. Crisp fresh oysters and deliciously crafted cocktails. The view is something special. Views of the freedom tower and lady liberty make the sunset there remarkable.
Bob Hample
What a super place. Great food and drinks and a sunset view unmatched in Manhattan. Great bartenders too.

My first visit to GB was when they first opened! Met the owners- great guys! Love it that they bought a fishing schooner and turned it into this! Don't miss it!! #summerinNYC

Beautiful people. Beautiful schooner yummy food on a beautiful day
Noni Baescu
Waited 15 minutes to get on the boat, another hour to find a table, the drinks were small, the plates were small, only few wine options, the bottle we ordered had no label on it, so save your money and go someplace else!
Jessie Barentsen
We sat on the sailboat from 2 pm until 6 and it was amazing!
Beautiful views, vibe and rose! I want to spend every weekend here in the sun❤️
