Mimi's Restaurant - New York City - Photo album

TL;DR: Really great vibes, but mediocre food. Came here with a group of 3 on a Saturday night - had a reservation so no issues getting a table. The restaurant and bar area are cozy and rustic, really making you feel at home. The live piano player was FANTASTIC, perfectly toeing the line of laid bac
Cool spot! First time in a piano bar. Went with a couple of friends who also loves to sing. Drinks and vibe were great! People at the bar are also music lovers. People singing along. The piano man, James Scheider, was awesome! Very cool experience!
Great food and very quick, loved it as needed some dinner with others and was good and affordable. My chicken had egg whites and little breading and was delicious with a side of pasta. Great appetisers with the bread and fresh mozzarella and tomato with the tiramisu being tasty as well. Overall 9/10
Was recommended to try this place out by a local while I visited the city on a trip- what a great spot to try wonderful Italian while listening to classic piano ballads all evening long. This is the kind of place you see in the movies, the small Italian place on the street corner that the couple goe
Food was quick, place was clean and reasonably priced. Gluten free pasta available. I got the shrimp scampi and it was a bit more bland and overcooked than I liked. My sister had the Marsala and loved it.
Food is probably the worst I’ve had in NYC. I’ve been to Mimi’s close to 10 times and every time I’m so disappointed how bad the food is. The bread is the best thing. We keep coming back because the atmosphere is one of the best in the city. Live piano music and really fun locals. I will keep going
Solid service. Attentive waiters. Bolognese sauce was good. We had chicken Francese and shrimp scampi both were good. TERRIFIC atmosphere. Piano player was singing Billy Joel songs and people sung along!
I love this place for the atmosphere and the staff. Traditional Italian vibe with lot of regulars always coming here. It’s always fun every night. The food is good and the best is they serve until very late. We ate at 3 am on Saturday :) Don’t miss Chicken delicious, very interesting show and very d
Friends of ours know the owner and they treated us very well. They even gave us a round of drinks on the house. Nice having a live piano player in the background. Already booked a B-day celebration there. Called to make the ressie and happened to speak to the owner who remembered me and booked a
Food was comforting, tasty, and everything you want in a no-frills Italian restaurant. That said, go into it knowing that the service will be mediocre. Will still be back!
The atmosphere is great! Love the live music from the pianist (very first time experiencing that). The food was great, i ordered a carbonara and the person i went with ordered a baked ziti (both great dishes). Love the menu. Only thing i didnt like was that the seating arrangement was a bit cramped
Solid staple of turtle bay for Italian. Been around forever, tastes to match. Sunday night we walked into a live piano bar, ask to be sat behind the brick wall if you find it a bit loud as we did. Exactly what you think it is at a fair price. Bring cash if you can to avoid a ~3% service charge
Classic neighborhood Italian comfort food. It's not fancy food - get your Italian favorites. They have a good amount of outdoor seating with dividers and staff wearing masks. The house wine is served in carafes and tastes better the more you drink...
Food was amazing and loved the piano bar nothing like enjoy food amazing music . The young man and lady that where singing are amazing !!
We stopped at Mimi’s the first time we were in New York. Second time we were there we had to go back to Mimi’s again. We will definitely make it a tradition to stop each time we are in New York. The experience was top notch. Listening to the piano music while you’re having dinner was so enjoyable.
