Food is absolutely amazing. The fish is extremely high quality and tasty. I could not recommend this place more; definitely a great Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is the weak link in the restaurant since everything else is so great. There are some cheaper options with specials, such as a lunch
Generally good experience, everything fresh, a solid 4 for this casual place with its plastic-coated veneered tables. The Soba salad was a little heavy on the sesame dressing, somewhat overwhelming. The chirashi bowl was very good.
Nice Japanese sushi restaurant that serves movie-inspired special maki. Would recommend trying Spider Woman, which has soft shell crab. For appetizers, consider getting the agedashi, which is deep fried tofu with light broth. If you are hungry, would recommend getting one of the rice bowl dishes (do
Some of the best sushi I have had in a very long time. Affordable for what they give you and so fresh. They were incredibly accommodating of my dietary restrictions and have a gluten free miso soup that is so good !! Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back soon.
I’ve lived in the city for over 20 years and this is one of my favorite places to date. The food is amazing, always fresh, and the service is great. Although not inexpensive, it’s still a great value for the quality.
It let me speechless!!! Such a nice and unexpected experience. My friend and I were looking for something fresh and light, I would say that Takahachi succeed expectations. Their food is something that you got to try, the chef makes sure to keep you guessing what's coming next, like Chilean sea bass
Dropped in just for a quick bite of sushi and was not disappointed! I had just the Ocean 13 and definitely one of the best Sushi's I've had. Great mix of flavor and texture between the fish, rice, and the slightly crunchy, sweet flakes and roe.
First time was OUTSTANDING Portions are huge and FRESH Seating indoor/outdoor your choice Menu is HUGE specials and all Most impressive 👏 👏👏
Walking by this restaurant I noticed they offered a lunch special so I had to give it a try. So glad I did! The lunch special is a remarkable deal. The salad and miso soup was the perfect starter. Followed with tempura tofu in a fish sauce. Finally the don chicken katsu and egg over rice made me tru
Went out for sushi on a whim and it was an amazing experience. Ocean’s 13 was delicious with perfect blend of fish, rice, and toppings. A bit pricy but worth a try. Karage chicken was juicy, the breading was flavorful, and perfect amount of tangy to serve as an appetizer. Spicy tuna roll was great a
I have been to Takahachi numerous times for over 10 years and it was absolutely delicious. I have brought multiple friends along even people who don’t like sushi and have given them a new taste. I have been to the bakery and restaurant and they are both delicious I highly recommend going.
Takahaci is a beautiful little gem in the neighbourhood. The atmosphere was calm and zen and the decor was amazing. I highly recommend the specials. I got the sashimi so platter with toro, scallops and striped jack(?) which were all super fresh and delicious. The toro melted in my moth and the scall
Fish quality was excellent. I just wish the specialty roll sizes weren't all so large. Impossible to fit in one's mouth with one bite and taking multiple bites causes it to fall apart, as well as the fact that the fillings aren't well distributed so one bite is all fish and another all avocado.
What a great find! Delicious sushi and Japanese food at this cute restaurant in the heart of TriBeCa. Really fresh food and affordable too! Highlights were the popcorn shrimp, soft shell crab roll and the green tea crepe was incredible!!
Really good food at a very reasonable price. Good service. Black Cod, Ananconda Roll, Agedashi Tofu and the mille feuilles crepes dessert really outstanding.
Really really liked this place. The food is great! Matcha mille crepe is definitely the must-try. Everything we ordered was delicious, - tofu steak was tender and flavorful - nabeyaki udon in iron pot was super comforting and the udon was cooked to perfect doneness - one of my favorites was unatanm
Salmon belly. Toro. Yellow tail. Chicken dumplings. My go - to and won’t - stop ordering gems. Freshness and quality is 10/10! Probably one of the best sushi/sashimi spot in Tribeca.
