Dafni Greek Taverna - New York City - Photo album

Had a really nice late lunch at Dafni's! The restaurant was nearly empty, and we were given plenty of attention. The staff was very prompt and attentive, and the food was fantastic! I was pleased that pita & oil was provided as a free appetizer, followed by our meal, which was a gyro and chicken pla
Very good food. I went with a group and the main dishes and appetizers were great. I tried the grilled octopus and lemon potatoes. The servers were eager and available to help. The Baklava was mediocre but prices overall were pretty decent for midtown Manhattan. I would come again.
Clean. Convenient. Servers were pleasant and helpful in recommending what to order. Pinot Noir wine was okay, but not a big deal. Eggplant Pastichio was tasty and well-proportioned. Octopus appetizer was a little bland, but not bad. Greek Fries were well-proportioned as well, but probably could be
Orderd delivery. It came fast and tasted great, the meat was well seasoned, the pita was fresh and the lettuce was crispy! What else can you ask for?? I also got a side of fries and that was amazing. Only wish i had gotten a side of ketchup with that, but that is on me.
Phenomenal classic Greek dishes at absolutely great prices. Good wine selection. Fast service and excellent staff who are very helpful and flexible.
Four of us went for dinner on a Sunday evening. No problem getting a reservation. Service was prompt and the food came out quickly. Chicken souvlaki was tough but good flavor. Overall good experience and not too expensive.
Great Greek food at a decent price for the area. Attentive staff even when it got busy. Very generous portions, which was appreciated after a long bus ride (right around the corner from PABT!)
Me shipmate and I had a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The avgolemono soup was delicate, the lamb shank was tender and exquisitely seasoned, and the chicken with capers was perfection.
We received a warm welcome and a tasty lunch when we came upon the taverna on a rainy day, hoping to avoid some of the more dismal dining options around the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Service was friendly and efficient. Our sandwiches were giant and stuffed with fresh ingredients. The fries we ord
Delicious Greek fare. Best pita I've ever had. Pictured below is saganaki appetizer. Right off times square. Affordable, large portion size. Will definitely go back.
A good authentic Greek restaurant. I had the mixed grill dinner on tray which was awesome. My date had the fish special which was cooked to perfection perfection. What I like about this place is they will allow you to Mix and match a bit. Such as on the mixed grill the lady next to me substituted t
Family owned cozy atmosphere restaurant $$. Friendly staff, excellent service, wine list and delicious mousaka although the side of peas is not the right one, could have options like baked organo potatoes, rice or pitta bread. Green salad with feta cheese and dill was tasty but could have calamatta
This has become my go-to spot for affordable pre-theatre dinner in the theatre district. It's worth it just for the warm pita bread alone :-) but everything I've had there has been delicious :-)
Great food, fresh and authentic!
