We are happy to have eaten at this restaurant. Authentic Russian cuisine. The prices are a little higher, but the taste is worth it! The borsch was better than my mother's. Thank you!

The Russian Samovar is a cool bar. I'm writing this review after going to a Russian LGBTQ event there. It was a really nice and enjoyable event, reminding me of good times in the past. I felt comfortable and at home. I've been to that restaurant before and the food was really good. It's a fantastic place and always enjoyable. The staff, who are friendly Ukrainians, make it even better. 💛💙🫶🏻🎄

What is there to say that has not been said already? The infused vodka? Amazing. The borscht? Rich and soothing. We got two separate orders of the vareniki because they were so good. And of course the music stole the show. Go on a Friday or Saturday night, and you will never be disappointed

The food here is my favorite. Period. The chicken Kiev and Duck Ala Russe were the best I’ve had in NYC. Also had a lovely cranberry ginger drink and the infused vodka is also a treat. Be sure to try the medovik with Russian tea served with cherries for dessert. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. The servers are attentive, kind and helpful. This was our second time there and we had a great time.

I had a very good experience at Samovar last week. We went for dinner and had drinks with several apps and shared entres. Our food came out hot and delicious. They drinks were great, and our service was top notch. I have only good things to say about this establishment, even if they wouldn't sell me a samovar.

Stepping into this place was like a nostalgic journey back to the Soviet Union era, complete with samovars, red leather chairs, and metal cup holders. The food had a delightful homemade quality to it. While the prices were a tad on the higher side, it almost felt like they were factoring in the cost of a 'time travel ticket' – they even charged $8 for a cup of hot water! 😧 The service was efficient, though initially, we had a fleeting feeling of being uninvited guests upon our arrival.

A wonderful piano player provides the background for this Russian Restaurant. Excellent service and a number of good choices from a menu of Russian cuisine makes for an enjoyable experience. The food, is not what it should be. The Beef Stroganoff, for example was served warm, not hot like it should have been. The restaurant is in a very good location for Broadway theater.

This is the BEST authentic Russian restaurant! If you go on Friday night there will be a few gentleman playing instruments and singing traditional Russian songs. The food is delicious and so is the tea and dessert. If you want to experience how the Russians party this is a must! I do recommend making a reservation because they get filled quick.

Was my first time here and I thought it was a good overall experience. Food seemed authentic so it does live up to its name. Staff may not be the most warm, free flowing, but they mean well. And frankly I think it’s more of a cultural thing. Anyway, if you’re interested in some authentic Russian food, this is your spot.
