We attended the New York City Wine and Food Festival brunch with Geoffrey and Margaret Zakarian at the Standard in October. It was so nice. Great venue with all the amenities. Not too crowded. Great beer, food, service with tons of space, tables, games and other fun stuff to do. It’s even kid friendly if you come early. I real do love the atmosphere bring under the Highline. At night it can get crowded. Definitely check this place out. I love the pretzels and cheddar kurtwurst.
It’s a beer garden, and a fun one. A lowkey spot in west village/meatpacking area but still some well-dressed nice people and a sociable crowd. Options are limited for food but they have all cocktails, wines, obviously really interesting beer steins, and I’ve always had a good time in all group size

A very nice way to beat the heat and relax after walking the Highline on a hot summer day. Indoor yet outdoor with bench seating like a typical biergarten. Had the Standard bier with the Cheddar Kurtwurst and they did not disapoint. Shanaya my server went out of her way to help me enjoy my lunch.

A biergarden in the middle of the city. Great outdoor seating. Very few draft selection though...I didn't try food, so I have no comment on that. It is a great meeting place for large groups. They take reservations.
A very nice place to meet with friends. The beer comes from the tap. To get a beer you need to get a ticket which you trade in for the beer. The price for the beer is alright compared to NYC relation. You pay 9 bucks but get a good German beer at a good size.

Good selection of German beers on offer with traditional food. Friendly bierhalle style atmosphere where you find a seat on a bench - meaning you can meet new people! Prices are average for the city ($9 for 16oz). Remember to buy tickets at the booth by the door for beer before going to the bar.
Such a fun spot for post work drinks! My team and I come here all the time and it’s always a good time. But Brian is the best bartender! He’s really attentive and kind and helpful when figuring out what drink I want to order.
Pretty odd that you have to first buy a ticket to get a beer. Why not just get a beer lol. I was confused by the "happy hour" sign out front. I think it was for an adjacent bar. $9 for a beer here. I ordered the "Standard" and the bartender was kind. I sat down at a table on my own, wasn't sure how
As a half-German (from Munich), I like to visit as much as possible new German places. This place is Ok for me. I didn't feel like I was in Germany. There was no music; I don't know why. Nice beer garden to come to with friends. Nice atmosphere and lots of outdoor space. They have a ton of selections to try and service is good.
This Biergarten is like no other in NYC! Fast and friendly service. You can buy tickets for food and beer, but cocktails are credit card/cash only. Amazing and authentic German food! I ordered the Bernerwurst and it was delicious. Bring your friends because this place has room for everyone!!
Super cool outdoor beer garden. They have a smart ticket system which makes it way faster to get your beer. Shoutout to Tye for being super friendly and kind (even after we broke a glass, oops!). I recommend all of their beer and a big pretzel!
