Visited this cafe and had a mixed experience. The coffee was excellent - strong and flavorful, but the shakshuka was disappointing even though it looks good ;(
The overall vibe is wonderful, and despite the usual line, it moves quickly. The place is warm and inviting, although the tables are a bit too close together. I'd recommend it for a coffee, but perhaps not for breakfast.
This place is so nice with great atmosphere. One of the best places regarding the atmosphere. Food is okay. Crepes were good as well as açaí bowl. The sausages were good. I would recommend this place because of its uniquely atmosphere.
We had breakfast there all the time we were in New York. They have a lot of options and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The sandwiches and the avocado toast are delicious, and the french toast amazing.
Coffee is very nice and the atmosphere is perfect!.
In the heart of a crowded city this place brings on a very special taste of food.
The place appears to be small, yet they have alot of seatings on the inside and outside.
We sat inside. It is very authentically and beautifully decorated.
The service was super fast and convenience.
They have variety of food/desert/drink selections. Check the menu before you enter.
The staff is very professional and courteous. I just want to highlight one of their workers which is KATELYN. she went above and beyond to make sure that we are happy and satisfied with our food/seatings/and service. She is so sweet and enthusiastic. I appreciate her level of professionalism.
This a great place will definitely be marked as one of my favorite spot to REVISIT.
Thank you PAUSE cafe. Thank you KATELYN
Pause Cafe is a coffee shop and juice bar on the Lower East Side of New York City. It has a Moroccan aesthetic and serves comfort food, including: Açaí bowls, Salads, Pastries, Breakfast and lunch sandwiches, Carrot cake.
Pause Cafe also has a great selection of coffee and tea. I loved the chai and pastries. It's a hidden gem.
Pro tip: if you don't get a reservation for Clinton st, get in here and have some amazing food/drinks.
Who would’ve known this place would be so packed on a Thur morning? Almost every seat was taken by the time I rolled in, but was able to squeeze into the big center table by the time I got my drink. I used to live in the Middle East, so this place really felt nostalgic. Love the attention they put into the interior details. The fruit in the acai fruit bowl was pretty sour and unripe, but hey, the other food looks great 😆
Beautiful cafe with delicious food! Highly recommended. We had the supernova, caprese crepe and the egg, avocado, Turkey and cheese sandwich. We loved all of it!
This bustling, cozy cafe with eclectic decor is worth a visit. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We got an assortment of pastries ranging from amazing (Maple Glazed Cruller - deep fried pâté a choux dough with maple glaze $4.25) to pretty good (almond croissant) to good (croissant $3) to not worth it (avoid the heavy, dense scones $2.50).
Randomly visited and impressed! Nice chill place for a breakfast. Simply got black coffee and cinnamon croissant, both really great!
This place is great!
Came here after a run and they have good coffee and an assortment of different sandwiches and pastries which were pretty nice.
Just had a coffee here but it was nicely balanced and didn't taste burnt like so many other places I've been to. Will be back if I'm in the area!
