La Mela Ristorante - New York City - Photo album

My family and I came to the city for The Feast of San Gennaro. This is our second time dining at La Mela and we were not disappointed. We arrived at a good time because we didn't have to wait a long time for a table. The service was very good. Our server was very attentive and the food was very good
Awesome place for the Little Italy experience. Great food. Perfect scenery. The cannoli was one of the best I've ever had. The fettuccine was probably the freshest we'd ever had. Highly highly recommend this spot
Love this spot! Have been going here for years. Love the food and its family style at night. Stop by for a lunch special, too. They won't disappoint.
I visited La Mela for dinner with friends and was hoping for a great Italian meal, but unfortunately, I wasn't completely satisfied. While the pasta dishes were decent, the sauce was a bit bland and lacked depth. However, the service was good and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.
I was introduced to La Mela by a friend who’s not a tourist by the way, yes a New Yorker from Michigan. That was 2012, it has been a favourite ever since, everyone is always in a great mood, and always very courteous, a necessary stop everytime I’m in NYC.
If I could give 6 stars…. I would!!!! Not only best Italian I’ve ever had but beat meal! We enjoyed a simple meal of mussels as our appetizer, veal Parmesan for the main course with pasta and washed it down with a great Tuscan wine!!! Service was friendly and impeccable. Definitely will come back!!
From the stuff to the food this place is amazing! We got there without a reservation on a Saturday evening and were seated outside within probably 15-20 minutes. Customer service is great, everybody is so polite with a smile on their faces. The food was delicious. We got calamari as an appetizer, th
I've been dining here since 1992. Discovered the place purely by accident, but was so impressed by the authentic Italian cuisine, I've been here on every subsequent trip to NYC. One on the best dining experiences you'll ever have. Highly recommend the Cinque Corsi Family Style dinner.
Absolutely amazing Italian food. Fresh, hot and quick. We got chicken parm for the ones who like the not too crazy and we also got Rigatoni Bolognese. They were both perfect. Sauces were very close to what I had when I went to Italy. Overall great food and quick service. No issues with our service.
My wife and I were strolling through Little Italy and she wanted to stop and have a glass of wine. The staff was so friendly and even though we caught them between lunch and dinner service, they still made us the ravioli marinara. Wow it was incredible! Highly recommended as I’m sure the rest of the
First went to La Mela in 2018. Was so outstanding, every time I visited NYC I’d have to visit again. Now that I live here nothing has changed. Probably the best penne alla vodka I’ve ever had. It’s amazing and the service is so perfect. My waiter, the big bear guy is so funny and engaging without be
Everyone is quite attentive, this has my second time around and between the food and drinks it was just overall a great evening. Definitely recommend!
Good food and large portions, but a bit overpriced (perhaps understandable being where it is). Staff were very nice and didn't bother us even though we stayed a bit longer chatting than we should have (we left when the place got full). Atmosphere was a clean and nostalgic but a bit worn out and the
Had the $19 lunch special. I had the carbonara . ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and an amaretto sour during at hot NYC day. It was perfect!
A friend recommend this spot in Little Italy and we are so glad we made the time to visit. We visited during lunch time and it was awesome. The location, service and food gave us everything we expected. The lunch special prices was easy on the wallet and surprisingly adorable. If you visit NYC, this
Fantastic time with my friends there. Great clams, veal parmesan and many Peroni beers. Staff was fantastic...fun. My friend asked if they had espresso and the waiter jokingly busted his chop "hey...this IS little Italy!". Will be back...
David was an amazing server. He was prompt and always made our glasses were full. Service was perfectly timed. I didn't feel like I waited too long for food nor did I feel rushed to eat and get out. Exactly what you expect from a traditional Italian restaurant. Portions were large and family style.
