One of the two places we tried pizza at in NYC. Crust is very thin but still managed to hold its shape and support all the toppings on top. We got the margarita and the chicken caesar and both were good. Large portion sizes and price was fair.
Give this place a try if you're not a crust person like me!
It's a pizza place, your experience will depend a lot on what you order. The margarita and grandma are really good.
The counter staff is friendly but if you want wait service probably go somewhere else.
There is a small outdoor area with 5 or 6 tables that would seat 4 to eat at, and it is covered.
Pizza is is roughly 4 to 6 bucks and beer is 6 to 8 you can get pizza and a beer for two for around $30 which is not to bad.
first nyc pizza place I tried and did not disappoint! we were starving after the met so we ordered a huge 18 inch pizza to split between two and we took home the last few slices. somehow managed room to split a new york style cheesecake too.
Great pizza, friendly staff! We sat outside on a beautiful evening and had a great time!
We were looking for good food at a good price and found both here. The food was great, price was fair, and the service quick. Our waitress was very accommodating to our family of four, which included 13, and 10yr old picky eaters. We highly recommend it.
If you ever are craving Italian, Don Filippo is a great place to go. The waiters were extremely nice and welcoming, and the entire restaurant gave off peaceful and comfy vibes. My family and I got the garlic knots, carbonara, and Lobster ravioli. The garlic knots were packed with flavor and pulled apart with no resistance. The carbonara was rich and creamy and was full of flavor, and the Lobster ravioli had great Lobster flavor that wasn't overpowered by the cheese. Next time I pay a visit, I'm definitely going to try their pizza too!
First time eating a pizza in the UES! The best pizza I’ve ever tasted in this area! (My review got updated, so you can respond back again)
Just happened to stop in, and wow, we were very pleased! My daughter said it's one of the better cheese pizzas she had in the city. I really enjoyed the eggplant parm garlic knot sandwich bite. I've honestly never come by those before, and it was a knockout. I'm going to make them at home, now.
I asked my cab driver to take me to the best pizza in the city, this place did not disappoint.
I was visiting the city for the first time and just needed one last slice of NY pizza before my trip ended and I followed reviews for pizza in my vicinity to Don Filippo’s. This restaurant was my favorite slice of pizza the whole trip (I went on a pizza tour and tried 4 other restaurants)! I added a side of ravioli as well, because I wanted to try something else. That too was delicious! The vibe is cozy, there were kids stopping in with friends and parents on their way home from school to get a slice…it just felt like home!
