Skylight Diner

Enjoyed a delightful dining experience in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers excellent food coupled with a pleasing ambiance. My visit during dinner time was good, though I haven't explored other times of the day. Stepping inside, I experienced a nice dine-in experience, encapsulated within the unique NYC vibe.

I visited early November, on a Monday in the early afternoon. It was nice and quaint with only a few patrons inside. All of the staff was really helpful and accomodating. Got incredible value for what we paid. Food was pretty good; typical diner food. Portions are generous. Best of all, when I left the diner, I realized I left a bag of mine about 20 min after I had left. I called them and they informed me they had set it to the side and would hold it for me for my return. Very glad I didn't lose that. Excellent service all around. Thank you!

They really loaded us up on OJ! Big juice portions ftw! Our server was very attentive. We ordered the popeye salad and the chipotle burger. The burger was HUGE and phenomenal. The salad was missing artichoke hearts but the mushrooms were marinated in a delicious mustard sauce and it was so tasty we didn’t even need the house-made dressing. Only giving 4 stars for atmosphere bc the bathroom was kinda gross, but I guess that’s part of the NYC diner experience. Overall, we had a great time!

The diner was a 6min walk from our hotel which was very convenient. Our server was super bubbly and polite. The food came out quickly and hot. We ordered the waffle with berries and bananas, rye toast and hot oatmeal. The food was fresh and tasted great. With all the walking we had planned for the day the breakfast was satisfying.
