Philip Marie Restaurant - New York City - Photo album

Great new Italian opened in Sep 2023 Food was great especially the Rigatoni Alla Norma. The pasta tasted of the eggplants which indicates that ingredients were cooked together vs the shortcut that many restaurants take of pouring sauce over the pasta at the end. Very friendly service and affordable
Overall a really excellent experience. Greeted warmly by the hostess and sat immediately. Lovely ambiance - the restaurant is beautiful. All our food was outstanding and our waitress was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that we were (very politely) told that we only had 90 minutes to eat
Very delicious Italian food in a cozy setting. The pastas we had were all delicious. Salads excellent too. The Foccacia with dips was really more like pita but was very good and dips were yummy. Service professional and helpful. Good wines. Definitely worth a visit.
This restaurant is a gem. The food is fantastic. For appetizers we had the octopus carpaccio & the crispy long stem artichokes (pictured) - it was so delicious we basically licked the plate clean. Our waitress said to try the vegan kale caesar (which I was skeptical of) but was so glad I ordered. It
Ambra serves good Italian mainstays with a menu that is not overwhelming and perfectly focussed. Great value for the price. The waitstaff was really fun and personable as well. The vibe is upbeat yet romantic. Sexy, yet classic like grandmas house.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively but intimate and the hospitality was genuine and kind. Make sure you order the focaccia bread and artichokes! Can’t wait to come back!
Cute spot for dinner date or meetings. Amazing service, great food and desert. Steak and pasta here is top notch. Will be coming back to try more of their pasta.
It’s rare to have a memorable dinner from a seemingly standard Italian restaurant. Although, upon being greeted by the stellar staff, you’ll soon realize it’s a few levels up from standard. Everything was delicious. The linguine with clams was definitely the best I’ve had, but that’s not to throw s
To start, Ambra has an amazing ambiance. The staff are kind and inviting. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was sensational, specifically the artichoke appetizer. Overall a greatly positive dining experience.
I do not write reviews but I had to jump on here and rave for a moment about Ambra!! If you are in New York and want to have a transcendent and truly authentic Italian dining experience, you HAVE to start with Ambra! Ambra has some of the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE I’ve ever had in 11 years living in NYC!
Wow. Wow. Wow. What a great time we had for a birthday. Recommend 10/10. The food was amazing. Veal Parm, Fish, Pasta, bread lol. Even the water. We will be back for sure. Chef John is an amazing energy and person. Thank you for the hospitality. See you soon.
Amazing. Love everything about Ambra. The food, the ambiance, the service. Ambra captures the magic of the West Village like few places can. Amazing Italian dishes, great drinks, great crowd. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing service from the hostess to our lovely waiter, Sean! We got the branzino and the paperdelle.
If I could give 10 stars I would. AMAZING SERVICE. AMAZING Staff. Food was off the charts! Ask them about the tunnel to White Horse Tavern.
Unbelievable! The quality of the food is unbelievable, the prices are great much even better. This corner with this Italian Cheff is a place that needs a visit. As all new restaurants it maybe need little something to turn up but for my experience, we had a wonderful welcoming, excellent service at
Delicious food, excellent service, attentive staff, nice vibe for a romantic date or a group dinner. This restaurant is off to a great start and we will be back.
