Excellent French restaurant with not large bud excellent menĂș and lots of delicious desserts on separed list...friendly ambiance with elegant decoration makes you feel like a king. Hightly recomended !
I think it's legitimately the best old school French cuisine in New York City. Duck, lamb, onion soup, snails are excellent!!! Wine is so delicious and unbelievable cheap! Service is so great! Love the place, highly recommend if you wanna try real French food:)
The charm of an older French restaurant on the UWS was not lost on us as we visited with old friends who introduced us to La Mirabelle. We sat upstairs overlooking the main dining room and it was a perfect place to eat and talk and spend 2 1/2 hours (our choice to keep it slow). We could talk with e
My family and I LOVE Aperitif and have been eating there every since it opened! We have been to multiple dinners, lunches, brunches, etc. They used to serve a lamb shank over risotto that was AMAZING, but they (sadly) took it off the menu (I'm DYING for it to come back, so if anyone of importance is
La Mirabelle is our most favorite restaurant in New York. The owners are lovely, the food is consistently of high quality, served hot and attractively, and delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We go to La Mirabelle whenever we can but especially when we need nurturing or are celebrating a
We ended up here because we spent an extra night in New York due to the weather, and were tired of Italian. What a great place. The food was fantastic, wine recommendations spot on, and the desserts were great too. We had the veal ragout, chicken cordon bleu, and fusilli with vegetables. All was del
La Mirabelle has excellent authentic French food and wonderful service. It was particularly enjoyable to be treated by a Physician Friend who has been a loyal customer since its opening in 1984. It was fun, as a Francophile for decades, to all join in singing La Marseillaise the day after Bastille
Had dinner last night with three friends and the four of us thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent at La Mirabelle. The decor is lovely, the personnel charming, efficient and accommodating, the food completely delicious and you can entertain a conversation without having to scream or use sign languag
Top notch service, excellent food and pleasant ambience. A gem
Were we the youngest people in the restaurant by 30 years? Yes. Did it matter? No! Look, this isn't an "impress your date" type of place, but for *authentic*, traditional French cuisine, I don't know that I've had better in the city. The escargot and the venison were particular standouts.
If you're into snooty French restaurants this might be just your spot. The food is tres bon, the service is nonchalant and the ambience is par amour. But when someone at the next table got up and started singing in French, I thought it was a bit much. Also, for some reason, this place seems to
Like dining in a French village with friends and the family owners. This place it so authentic you can close your eyes and feel just like an "American in Paris". It's all about the food and the sincere, no frills (excellent) service.
I have eaten here dozens of times. Delicious well presented food. There is a French lady who sings and also paints. Her paintings are on the walls for sale. Cocktails are good. Food is filling.
The medium rare calf's liver sauté with shallots, raspberry vinegar and onions is one dish I keep returning for. The service is lovely; nice wine list; excellent desserts. What could be bad?
Very good French food and a longtime mainstay of the Upper West Side. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Nice ambience and relatively quiet for a NYC restaurant, i.e., no kids, no bar scene, no house music, etc. A restaurant for adults with a sophisticated palate where you can enjoy a conversation.
My husband and I have been dining at La Mirabelle for more than 15 years. We love the food, the paintings on the walls, the attentive (but never overbearing) service, the wine list and the fact that you can actually have a conversation without going hoarse. It's a busy place, but we never feel r
Homey, yet 5-star provincial French, run by a beloved family. I hesitate to write anything for fear of losing my table!! Menu is discrete and varied. Everything delicious!! .
