Amazing cocktails in a dimly lit, hip space. It’s one of those busy establishments that’s not overwhelming and everyone is in a great mood. Come here with friends or on a date night. Didn’t try the food but everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. This is the place where I want my night to start
I LOVE this unique and cozy place. Staff makes you feel very welcome and accommodate your wishes. The food is great, and the drinks are awesome. This is one of my favorite places to hang with friends. ❤️
I went there monday 11 am and we were the only table, I can imagine that it gets super full on weekends. A waiter came by with a very unique energy that was on par with the restaurant itself He had a weird content but quiet and confident mix with a subtle connection to the place. We ordered the english breakfast and a french toast, it was enough for 4. The food was really good and the place is amazing, they really pulled it off.
Loved this 💎 at the end of an alley, named Freeman's Alley. I loved the vibe at Freeman. You can imagine having a drink with George Washington or any of our Founding Fathers. It has the feel of a Colonial Tavern. I went for Weekday Brunch so it wasn't crowded. The Artichoke Spinach Dip is amazing. I had The Crow as my cocktail. It was 😋. It's basis is Scotch and Irish Whiskey and it has Amontillado, Coconut, Ginger and Carrot. It's creamy and rich and packs a punch. The bartender, Beatriz, was a wonderful bartender. The service is good. The prices are a little high but on par for the area. I will definitely be back.

Went for dinner at 630pm on a Wednesday w three coworkers. We had a reservation. Freemans is such a classic NYC experience. The alley to get there makes it so fun. The decor inside is so unique. The servers were so helpful and friendly. Definitely a good time had by all and I would recommend it especially for out of towners!
The owner(s) of this venue put a lot of effort in the decor. It felt like 18 hundreds or late victorian era. Dim light, wooden floor, aged furniture, all which gives a barn/ speakeasy vibe with a little hint of steam punk theme.
I wasn't surprised to know there s a speakeasy on second floor that opens at 6 pm.
All of this compliments the quiet alley neighborhood.
Plenty of seating, in different unexpected corners and on the second floor. Seating includes several bar areas.
Went for brunch, the food was average. Little pricey. Friendly staff and excellent service.
Perfect for celebration. Reservation recommended.
What a fun tucked away spot! I love the alley entrance leading up to the doors. Cute interior and ambiance. Went for brunch with a group of 10 and it was lovely. Pricey but the food is good and our servers were really sweet. Get the artichoke dip. Awesome Bloody Mary too. Chicken and waffles was interesting - kind-of smoky flavor which was a fun twist on the usual. Oh, and bottomless coffee!
Delicious brunch! Lovely atmosphere.
Would to return for dinner.
Mimosas was a little small but tasty. Chicken and waffles were excellent.
Bacon wrapped app was AMAZING.
Overall a great time!
You must try the pumpkin julep 😍
I loved how secret is this place

The Steak was a bomb - even though the sauce was really good, I ate it plane. The side-dishes (squash and carrots) were also exceptionally good and came with interesting flavors. My only critics are, that the air condition was too strong and it was too noisy for my taste. All in all however, absolutely recommendable and memorable place!
