Fantastic place to go for brunch! Situated right on the north side of Madison Park with two story windows to illuminate your view. This restaurant is designed to make you feel like you are up in the ski areas of New England.
Perfect brunch menu from avocado toast to eggs and other savory items. Food was delicious. Great for large groups with a huge sitting area that is spread out in two rooms.
Service was on point and served with a smile!
Has a few elegantly appointed private rooms for special event dining.
Great dining choice for the flatiron area!

Stopped by for a quick brunch while in the neighborhood and had a delightful time. The Sweater Weather cocktail was a unique surprise that was quite delicious. The Pumpkin Bread was phenomenal, and the Waffle Croque Madame, and Blue Corn Johnny Cakes highlighted innovation and creativity. Overall, a solid experience at Blackbarn in NoMad.

The people in restaurant are extremely friendly. I was there last night with friends and I was taking photos, the lady in front showed me the whole restaurant inside out. So I can shoot nice pictures. Good is delicious. I never know olive salad and cucumber salad can be this delicious. The waiter and the people in the kitchen are so nice. Wonderful place.

Had a very nice time here . Great location .
Staff was very nice , had a nice summer cocktail and the salad was soo good . Chicken could have been a tad less salty but lot of good things to stay about the salad I had .
Will happily come back .

One word: delicious! We arrived for what I’ve learned is a late lunch in NYC (since so many places close around 3), but we never once felt rushed. Service was great, the food was absolutely delicious + cocktails were perfect too!
We loved the atmosphere + everything felt clean, organized and just overall a great vibe.
We enjoyed swordfish tacos, tuna sliders and the hamachi — we’d enjoy ALL of them again and again!
I’ll definitely visit here next time in NYC!

To start off, Blackbarn is incredible. If you’re considering going to this restaurant, don’t think twice, just book a reservation and go. To start, the restaurant has an abundance of room and feels like a brief escape from the city with all of the wood detail in the interior.
Our server was very friendly and attentive, and was happy to make recommendations for us.
The first course: bread basket. This basket came with three different options to pair with a pat of butter sitting in garlic confit and flaky salt. Divine.
Second course: tuna tartare that tasted so light and fresh, octopus with a red pepper hummus and greens, and bone marrow with clams. The only dish I didn’t really care for was the bone marrow, but I think it’s just too fatty of a dish for me! My friend really enjoyed it. The octopus was well cooked and I loved the combination with the hummus.
Main course: fall off the bone ribs. Don’t sleep on this dish!! Even if you’re out at a business dinner, order the ribs. They used to have shoestring fries and have since been replaced by steak fries. We asked if we could upgrade to the parm fries instead and were told there would be a fee, and we were a bit disappointed to see us being charged for an entire side of fries, when we were under the impression it would just be an upgrade fee. It also comes with a cucumber salad which is a great light compliment to the overall dish, but our waiter forgot to bring it out and I had to separately ask for the cucumber salad. Don’t let that discourage you though, order the ribs…and to the restaurant… please bring back the shoestring fries! We also ordered the truffle ricotta gnocchi and it tasted like little fluffy clouds of creamy truffle gnocchi. Cannot recommend this enough.
Dessert: bread pudding with house made vanilla bean ice cream, and a Granny Smith apple custard shortbread situation. If you’re going to order one thing outside of the ribs, make it the bread pudding. I would go the the restaurant just for that dessert alone. It was heavenly!
TLDR: order the ribs and the bread pudding. Everything on the menu is incredible. Please bring back the shoestring fries.

It's a very high quality restaurant, it seemed my group was the only walk-in customers. We arrived there in Saturday evening and could have seats immediately.
I ordered two appetizers and three main dishes for three people, but I found two + two were enough for us. I loved the server's recommendation. Considering the quality, although it's expensive, BLACKBARN can be a reasonable choice for diners seeking special experience in NYC.

I recently attended a client event hosted by our company in the cellar, featuring a demonstration of souffle preparation. The event was attended by a group of 30 individuals, and I must say that it was an absolute delight.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. The preset menu included four courses, each one better than the last. The flavors and presentation were exceptional, and every dish was a treat for the taste buds.
However, the real star of the night was the souffle that we had participated in preparing. It was the perfect end to the meal and truly showcased the skills of the chefs. It was light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious.
Overall, I would highly recommend this event to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food, atmosphere, and company were all fantastic, and I can't wait to attend another event like this in the future. Kudos to the organizers and chefs for putting together such an outstanding evening.

We came here for a team event and had a great experience. The service was great. The food came quickly. The waitress knew the food and drink well and gave us good recommendations based on our group needs.
The food was nicely presented and tasted amazing. I personally enjoyed the mushroom toast , braised octopus and grilled scallop very much. I also loved the bread , bread sticks and the dip with roasted garlic in it. We tried their Tamahawk steak which had a hint of barbecue flavor.
The environment was also very nice and cozy for the barn style. Overall great experience.
