The Grand Tier - New York City - Photo album

What an extraordinary meal, before an extraordinary show, the Magic Flute. The bison, carpaccio, aesthetically, pleasing, and flavorly balanced. The beef tenderloin, I ordered black and blue, a.k.a. Pittsburgh, was perfect. I ordered the bananas fosters, lavender crème brûlée, and fruit and berries,

This was my first time at the Grand Tier and it was wonderful. The service was lovely and the food was exquisite. I am sorry that I don't have pictures! It is so nice to have a lovely dinner prior to the Opera and not have to worry about transportation! What fun to come back at intermission fo
Go pre-curtain for a more leisurely, early dinner. However, they’ll make a one course meal - or a chic dessert situation - work beautifully during an intermission. Excellent, attentive, and speedy service. It’s expensive, but you’re dining within one of the most spectacular cultural destinations in
I didn’t think I could top the experience of seeing an opera at the Metropolitan but indeed going for dinner at the Grand Tier before the opera really blew us away! The efficient service coupled with the delicious culinary delights made our night superb! I had crab cake appetizer and tortelli with
The Grand Tier is an exquisite restaurant experience during an evening of opera. Go for the pre-show dinner and have your dessert during intermission. Truly anything on the menu is cooked to perfection. It is as much an experience as it is a meal.
Very special place for a special night at the opera. Kind staff and wonderful location; perfect for pre-opera dining. All the dishes were wonderfully executed, including the sea bass entree.
Always gracious. Always elegant. Food is delicious and beautifully presented. A meal at the GT is the perfect way to start an evening or afternoon at the Met Opera.
Waiter forgot to bring a spoon for my nieces soup. Dishes came in too fast during the second course.
9 year old review… “Every bite was amazing. Sensational!”
Absolutely loved it! From the call to confirm my reservation, the service at the restaurant with the hosts and our waiter Todd who took care of us and the amazing delicious dishes! Will definitely be back! The dessert during intermission is perfect!
We have been regulars for over a decade and the head chef is now a new individual of great talent - Florion's culinary expertise have elevated the Grand Tier to the level of cuisine that makes a night at the opera even more magical!
I suppose when one pays $275 for a two-course price-fixe lunch for two (including two drinks, supplements, tip, tax, etc.) one is going to be inclined to like it - and I did. The food is quite good. Their sea bass is one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. The service was excellent. Our wa
We booked a table at The Grand Tier for our fist trip to the opera house. We had the "first time $55" promo (3-course dinner for $55) - this saved us about $40. The food was exquisite. Even with the promo my wife and I still spent ~ $270 on dinner... You get what you pay for. It was a treat and we
