Our mixed group of friends and family were famished after touring Midtown Manhattan
last Saturday. Our ages ranged from 64 to 11 and we had been all over Rockefeller Center from Legoland to Cartier Sterling Silver Plane.
Part of the group has gluten intolerance so we found Bistango online as a close candidate within a short walk.
So happy to find this gem of a restaurant. The food was excellent well presented and the service was fantastic.
Fantastic service, food & ambiance. Especially wonderful for a Gluten Free diner. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed our meal & experience. Reservation service was not working on their website so be sure to CALL TO CONFIRM. Highly recommend.
Bistango Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem. The ambiance exudes elegance, making it an ideal spot for a special evening. But what truly shines here is the food. The steak sandwich is a masterpiece, boasting tender, perfectly cooked beef, and an array of flavorful toppings. Equally impressive is the linguini lobster, a seafood lover's dream, with succulent lobster pieces intertwined in a rich, delectable sauce. The menu is diverse, offering something for every palate. The attentive service only enhances the experience. Bistango Restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience filled with delectable dishes and an inviting atmosphere.
The gluten free options are great and even included bread. The suaces were perfect and the service was spot on. I would eat here again.

Absolutely love this place!! Bistango is literally my girlfriend and I favorite restaurant out of the whole city. From the first time eating at the restaurant, the food will make your mouth water and like my mom use to say is “it must be good cause y’all quiet” Then the staff provided exceptional hospitality that made the experience ten times better and makes us want to come back for more, along with the food.
Now for the food, which by the way anything on the menu can be made gluten free!!! Making it gluten free you couldn’t tell the difference from gluten filled food. Our go-to food choices are: Charcuterie Board w/ gluten free bread 🤤, Green Spinach Ravioli*, Pancetta Mushroom Papparadella, Tiramisu, and Pistachio Cannoli. When eating this you can taste the freshness, all the individual ingredients, and the love & care they put into each of the entrees.
*Honorable mention entree: The Lasagna Bolognese👌🏽was an alternative to when the Green Spinach Ravioli, even though my girlfriend was devastated, but the lasagna did not disappoint our taste bud.
To wrap it up lol we will be coming back to be in foodie heaven again!

Food was delicious and they were able to make anything on the menu gluten free. My only issue, if you can even call it that, is that the servers didn't go into detail about the precautions they take when serving someone who is celiac. Just said there would be nothing to worry about and that I could order anything on the menu. Thankfully they were correct but would have made me feel better knowing that they have systems in place.
The gluten free pastas are amazing. I’ve never had a gluten free pasta that was unmistakable for normal wheat based pasta in terms of taste and texture. The pancetta was seated perfectly and the mushrooms were a nice addition as well. Highly recommended.
Great brunch. Just far enough from the theatre district that it's not slammed pre show. Quiet, intimate space, knowledgeable and relaxed service, great execution of food. Definitely some of the best quality for the value in the midtown for a high end brunch... The price is below average for midtown (entrees circa $20, cocktails for $11 which is a steal) and the food is serval notches up from the price. Had the Benedict and the breakfast risotto with jumbo prawns.
Nice place for Brunch. The flatbread a little disappointed. Steak and egg was good. The restaurant is inside a lobby of a hotel

This restaurant will make sure you have a top service, everything on the menu could be gluten free. I’m talking of every type of pasta, freshly made, gluten free ! And it’s super delicious! Just 100% perfect experience! Thank you for an amazing dinner !
Fantastic from start to finish! The staff are friendly and very attentive, the beet salad and the skirt steak ate top notch! Can't wait to go back
Highly recommend! The food was AMAZING! We ordered the Butternut Squash Cappelletti & the Red Snapper - we absolutely loved our meals & drinks. The staff were also super friendly & welcoming. Our service was speedy too. Definitely the place to go for authentic Italian
Not only is this one of the most delicious places you could eat, they have some of the most incredible staff, from maître d’ to chefs to anyone in their employ.

The gluten free EVERYTHING really made this celiac feel part of the real world. The prix fixe menu was an exceptional value, and their portions were substantial.
This is going to be my go to place for anything Italian in New York. I have been unable to eat at an Italian restaurant in decades, but the separate gluten free kitchen allows for more than any gluten free person can hope for.
When Bistango says they can make anything on their menu gluten-free, they are NOT KIDDING! I had gluten-free arancini and gluten-free spinach ravioli and it was genuinely one of the best meals of my life. I will absolutely be returning the next time I'm in NYC!
We stayed at The Kimberly Hotel because of Bistango. Our son has severe food allergies and I had heard of their knowledge and care to prepare a safe meal. They did not disappoint! We ate dinner there 3 times. Not only is the food both beautifully prepared and delicious, the staff and general manager are extremely kind, food allergy educated and helped us to immediately feel comfortable which is very rare. I had also brought my son’s food allergy dining card which they gave to the chef each time and I appreciated. We can’t thank Bistango enough for being a huge part of our incredible trip to NYC. To note: even my non allergic adult daughter and my husband were extremely happy to eat there 3 times. Bistango’s menu is that good! Highly recommend and hope to return.
