I first came here many years ago, just after it was opened, and I've never been disappointed! Yesterday I had lunch there with friends, and we really enjoyed the cozy, festive atmosphere as well as the delicious and well prepared food. ππ
The raw plate combo was truly outstanding πππ ... and our main courses were delish with perfectly cooked fish πππ ... but lacking a bit in presentation!π€
Of the desserts we tasted, we liked the yogurt with the typical spoon sweets the best! π
The service was very friendly and professional ... but the prices are on the higher side ... reflecting the restaurant's location and the high quality of the food served! π
Our familyβs favorite New York restaurant. Whenever we have lunch or dinner or celebrate a birthday in Avra, it is always a great experience.. The stuff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, the best Greek Salad in the city. And I love the ambience, festive and cozy, as if it is always Christmas there π.
Although pricey for those who do not eat in this area often, the food is fresh and service was great. The lighting is great for a date or even just a simple dinner with a colleague.
Avra zucchini chips - crispy and seasoned just right
Octopus - slightly fishy but still tasty
Greek salad - tomatoes are extremely juicy
Beet salad - standard beet taste but the hummus really put the dish together
Cocktails - sweet
Came here for the 1st time for a work lunch and the food was very delicious. For starters, a basket of bread is brought to the table with sides of hummus, olives and sliced radish. Bread wasn't fresh out the oven, but still delicious.
For apps, I had the salmon tartar. It wasn't the best I've had but definitely tasty. I'd give it a 6/10. The show stopper is definitely the Avra Chips - it's a MUST !!! We couldn't stop snacking on them.
My co-worker had the lamb chops and I the Lobster pasta. I'd give it an 8.5/10 - very very tasty and appropriate serving size. As well as the Artic Char [ salmon] very delicious and it comes with a side of sauteed greens. Service was a tad slow, possibly because it was lunch and every business personnel just so happened to be there. If you're a red wine drinker, definitely recommend the Syrah Blend ππ *chefs 4kiss* I recommend checking it out and seeing for yourself.

If you have some business talk to manage just give a hint to service and they will lead you to the table where you can actually hear what other are saying/ otherwise inside itβs pretty loud (or you can choose option to sit outside)
The food is delicious. We ordered octopus, greek salad, and wild caught bronzino, the taste and texture are amazing, the flavor is very sophisticated and delicate, fish is very fresh. One thing I don't like, the place is a bit noisy during dinner time, if you want a place to drink, laugh and shout then it's perfect spot for you, but if you want to chat or talk business, I suggest you find another restaurant.

We came 7:30pm on a Thursday and the place was PACKED. Looks like a lot of colleagues or client dinner meetings, which the atmosphere and food is great for, but as a result the place is so loud with everyone talking.
Free bread to start. I loved the Avra Chips with its tzatziki sauce. Both the grilled calamari and the freshly grilled fish we got were tender, light, and delicious. The latter was priced at market rate per pound. They have many fresh fish to choose from. Mediterranean food done well.
These 3 dishes and a glass of wine turned out to be ~$100 a person..
The food is fresh and Tyler was amazing and always in care of our
Needs. He even spoke Spanish and gave his other end perspective view with his pronunciation with perfection ππ»
This place is nice. Lunch dining is a bit of a struggle without a reservation and the hostess (es) had attitudes on this day. Other than that, the appetizers were amazing and the lunch specials were tasty (if you're a seafood lover, go with the warm seafood salad). The servers were very professional and attentive. I'd recommend this place a a business lunch or even for date night.
Great location. Food is excellent, especially the salmon. Service was fine and me and my whole party had a nice time. Would definitely recommend.
